Broome holds some air of mystery, maybe it’s the days past, knowing the town was a bustling pearling town, a hub for trade and a melting pot of cultures. Maybe it’s the beauty of the landscape, particularly the coast. Or maybe the tropical and lush vegetation where seeds are sewn.

Broome is a town full of surprising history.

Broome is a town full of surprising history. It is well set out with a great buss serv ice to get you around to most of the tourist attractions at a reasonable price. If I were to go again I would get the bus pass sooner. The people were friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable prices for food and drinks were. There were lots of good places to eat, especially the cafes.

Great location near cable beach, local bars and restaurants. Apartment was large and very well equipped with everything you need for a short or long stay. Some great bush walks also run alongside the beach. Found more to do in Cable Beach area than Broome town. Check out the Surf Club for drinks, music and food at Sunset. Easy check in and check out and perfect end to our Kimberley holiday.

The Oakes at Cable Beach is in a great position close to beach and entertainment. The self contained apartments are spacious and have all you need. Nice to be able to cook if you wish. The pool facilities are great with some apartments sharing a private pool. The main pool area is huge with all you need to make your stay enjoyable in the warm weather. Would stay here again

Thought location was brilliant, we were around the corner from Matsos, and walking distance from most things except Cable Beach :) It was our first time to Broome and we really enjoyed our stay. Great views from the Beer Garden and great little cabanas around the pool and facing the views. Everything was comfortable and I would happily stay again.

Pinctada is a wonderful place to stay - beautiful older-style Broome house, lovely garden and pool. Great beds and breakfasts, and helpful staff. The location is walking distance to Town Beach, and a slightly longer walk to town, or catch the Explorer Bus from the bus stop nearby. A special place to stay.

The resort is absolutely stunning and very peaceful. Although on the smaller size, it feels very exclusive. Close to other resorts, Cable Beach, restaurants and the general store. The outdoor bathroom was blissful. The food at the restaurant is some of the best in Broome.

Breakfast was included in the price, cereal, toast and pancakes which was a good start to the day. The hotel is halfway between town and Cable Beach so you need a mode of transport otherwise you do a lot of walking. To walk to the closest part of Cable Beach is 2.3km.

Right in town. Perfect location. Amazingly quiet for a hotel. At check in I requested a ground floor room as I had hurt my foot and couldn't go up the stairs to the 1st floor that had been pre booked. They changed us to a ground floor room with no problems.

We had an apartment that was clean, spacious and had a view to the sea. The local bus stopped nearby and this was a convenient way to explore Broome. The hotel is close to Matsoes Brewery and Restaurant, which is great for a drink and a meal.

We really loved staying here. The highlight was the pool. It was salt water and only lightly clorinated and the kids had a great time in there for hours. The rooms are really well laid out. We liked this place better than Cable Beach Resort.

Awesome how they provide a towel - not many backpacker hostels do that, that's for sure. Good parking for the property considering Broome street parking is particularly sparse. Good location and pretty comfortable.
