Beautiful buildings and surrounding gardens. Rooms were beautifully decorated and I keeping with the aesthetic of the buildings. Nice location - but down a long dirt road. So would not be ideal for little hire car.

We stayed the second time in Blick ins Tal. We can highly recommend it and will be coming back.
We visit the Barossa at least once or twice a year. We especially love the German Bakery in Tanunda.
When visiting the Barossa make sure to visit the Sculpture Park on Mengler Hill above Tanunda for a great view at Sunset.

No issue with the town of Bethany, we know it well.
No issue with the town of Bethany, we know it well. Where we stayed needs to be updated significantly if it wishes to remain competitive within the tourism market in the Barossa - even in the COVID and new COVID adjustment times. Having stayed at Blickinstal twice, it is OK but we are likely to go elsewhere next time

Close to Adelaide CBD.
It's very difficult to find vegan food options in Tanunda.
The taxi services are expensive and the region won't allow Uber - which I understand being a small community trying to generate local income.
This beautiful cottage was presented perfectly, it was exceptionally clean, and very comfortable. It is located in the beautiful little village of Bethany, which is so quiet and peaceful. We would highly recommend Bethany Cottages as a place to stay in the heart of the Barossa. It is like stepping back in history, but having all the modern conveniences. We just loved our time here and didn’t want to leave.
Lots to love: the country location, super friendly and accommodating owner, attention to detail, the historical aspect, combustion stove with plenty of kindling and firewood, luxurious bed and bathroom, north-facing verandah for soaking up the winter sun, walking distance to Bethany winery. And that we could take our dog :)
our second visit to Bethany cottage, this time we brought along our baby for our first Father’s Day get away. We couldn’t love the charm of the cottage and the beautiful touches by the staff to make us and our baby feels comfortable. The cottage was clean and the fire was beautiful
Our stay was sooo perfect! The host goes above and beyond to help you feel comfortable, we had everything we needed and more. We loved learning about the history of Bethany also.
Cute little cottage with a gorgeous outlook! The homemade bread & port were the icing on the cake. Be sure to check out Bethany wines for a cheese platter whilst nearby!
Bethany Cottage #1 was a lovingly restored home with lots of quirky features. We loved the quiet countryside and dark nights. The breakfast was also very good.
Beautiful location in Bethany on the hill and close to many wineries. The room is a little dated but super clean and a great size. Had everything we needed.
