Benalla has some wonderful history, go and visit the Visitor's Information Centre. The art gallery is fantastic and my favourite place, they also have a lovely cafe, not open Tuesdays. Very pretty botanical gardens by the art gallery to wander and ponder. The main street has everything you would need on a trip including, banks, clothes, a Reject shop, phone shops etc. It does seem to have a few too many bottle shops and I did notice a few spaced citizens!

We are a group of veteran golfers who travelled to Benalla for a golf tournament at the Benalla Golf Club. We dined at the Golf Club on 2 nights, where the food and service was excellent. The weather was fantastic for golf and we will be coming back in the future.

Only stayed in Benalla one night. We got up in the morning to get breakfast and head back to Melbourne. We were pleasantly surprised at the number of options in relation to good cafe's. We chose to try Zeus. It's a café in a warehouse style building. Very nice atmosphere and good breakfast.

I was travelling from Tasmania to NSW & Benalla was a good stop to stay the night! The Ferry was arriving late , so I spoke with the manager who arranged everything for a late check in! She was very friendly and helpful which took the stress out of our late arrival!EileenAustralia - 10Scored 10

Our accommodation was located close to the town centre so made life very easy for us. Also an easy stroll in the other direction to the North Eastern Hotel, which has a big open fire, in the cooler weather. Great meals and extremely friendly, helpful staff. Benalla is very quiet, minimal traffic, and very friendly service in the many shops and eateries. Take a drive out of town and follow the Silo Trail. Very interesting.Carol

I am elderly and income is poor so having the accommodation at a fair rate was very helpful. All of the necessary things were there. The bed was very good. All basics are provided.
