We rebooked the "doctors quarters" and again enjoyed the extra space, full sized fridge and very comfortable king sized bed. Staying at this place feels like sleeping in your very groovy aunt's art gallery. It's more beautiful each year. The lush tropical gardens and verandahs add to the experience and Karen is enthusiastically helpful!

Very quirky and interesting town. Tourist info was helpful. Great fun doing Babinda kayaking, although we got horrendously sunburnt. Not much in the way of eating places unfortunately. Great parking. Nice location just off hwy, but still tranquil. Would recommend a short visit.

Babinda Quarters is the converted nurses' quarters of Babinda Hospital. It is an older style government building, very solid and grand. We had an upstairs room with a great view over lawns and garden and lovely fresh breeze. The bathroom was good with a good shower. The bed was very comfortable. Our stay was on a Saturday evening and there was music late from a local club.
