The hotel is located quite close to San Martin de los Andes, within a golf course - the hotel surroundings are therefore very quiet and peaceful. We could even see some geese wandering about, and a rabbit or two! The restaurant offers a magnificent view of the mountains and of the sunset.
Food is good, though the choice of dinner isn't immense. The staff, however, was awesome: Gabriela, at the front desk, was immensely helpful when it came to answering our many questions regarding the hotel. Her mastery of French came in very handy, and she was also able to accomodate our request for a room with twin beds, and an extension of our stay. Fernando, one of the spa therapists, is also a real asset to the hotel, as he is highly skilled (the quality of the massage was uncomparable so far!!).

It has a great story how the valley was created many years ago after a glacier carved the mountains and melted after the ice age. Anyways, it is a super nice cozy city surrounded by many activities to name, and places to visit; such as volcano Lanín, beaches, nature watching, fishing, mountain/road biking, and many more.

Beautiful town, many things to see.
Beautiful town, many things to see. Great panoramic views of the lakes on the road from Villa La Angostura to San Martin de Los Andes. Only two buses a day between those two towns. Lake trip pricey (US$50). Many surrounding places to explore. Great stores and restaurants, Very reasonable dinners and great offerings. Specialties are trout, venison and wild boar. I ate at Porthos, great value.

Lovely town (we liked it better than Bariloche).
Lovely town (we liked it better than Bariloche). Beautiful lakes including Lacar, Huechulafquen, Meliquina are easily accessible by car. Lanin National Park includes araucarias forest, and easy 2.5 km walk to the base of Lanin volcano (and climb to the peak for those with experience and equipment). We wished we'd had more days - we had to return to Bariloche to catch flight.

Beautiful setting and location around the lake.
Beautiful setting and location around the lake. Nice feel to the town. Friendly locals, good shopping, opportunities for good food, amazing steaks! Everything is expensive here compared to the rest of Argentina!!
We came here to ski at Chapelco, which is a great resort with lots to offer. Some nice runs up top, with some great tree runs for the family. Massive queue to go down in telecabina. Slight lack of slow in July, making skiing back to the bottom interesting, but better than waiting for telecabina.
Town is a 30 minute drive to the slopes.

This hotel was exceptional in every way! The aesthetics were sublime from the amazing views off expansive decks, to the soothing colors and tasteful decor, to the fragrance wafting through the entire hotel. Even the classical music brought peace and tranquility. We arrived hungry, and the innkeeper, Lily, graciously made us sandwiches, telling us all about how she and her husband had built the inn. Delightful!
The location is great and the staff members were very kind, friendly and helpful, specially Sofia. The hotel is very close to everything in S. Martin.
It is all decorated with a patagonian style and they have a very charming common living room with a fire place.
The room was basic but it had ll we needed and was clean.
Breakfast was delicious!
We would definately go back and can only recommend it.
We stayed one night with our 3 kids in a huge place. It was 3 levels and enough beds for all of us. Kids were excited to have so much space and also loved to play in the grassy front yard area. Little kitty of the hotel was a hit too. We loved this place so much we tried to stay one more night but unfortunately they were booked. Very comfortable for big groups and families.
Excellent hotel in San Martin de Los Andes. The hotel entrance and common areas are super nice, the room was big and comfortable, the bed was huge and the room had good ventilation, the location is as central as it gets, the staff was super welcoming, friendly and helpful. Honestly, if I return to San Matin, I'll probably stay here.
The hotel is beautiful located on the hill with a nice view of town.
The rooms are gorgeous and very clean.
The staff was very nice and helpful. They even made my son (who has Celiac) special bread and cake for breakfast.
A wonderful experience
The location, hosts, and amenities were all excellent. The high ceilings and big windows that look over the main street and mountains made the space feel especially grand. It was the perfect apartment for a short San Martin de los Andes visit.
The morning person at the reception was super friendly and helpful. She allowed me to stay in the hotel as I explain in the negative part. The rooms are normal for a 3-star hotel. It's clean. The beds are comfortable.
The hotel is not new but kept in an immaculate state, which gives it a lot of charm. Loction can't be better in the middle of all shops, bars and restaurants, yet it is very quiet to sleep. Nice garden.
Nice hotel centrally located close to beach and restaurants. Plenty of parking on the road outside (Hotel parking round the back fine if you have a small car). Staff were helpful and room clean.
Absolutely one of my favourite hotels in Argentina. Loved the location, the food, the people. Very friendly and homely atmosphere, both with the staff and the other guests.
The location of the hotel which is pretty close to the city center and you can do everything in the city on foot. I also really liked the smell of the candles in the lobby.
This hotel is in a nice part of town - it’s easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Also, they have two and three bedroom suites, which is very convenient for families.
