We were able to unwind and relax in a super comfortable room with amazing views out over the garden which features rocky outcrops which adjoin the labyrinth rock special site next door. The spa pool was so relaxing after a long day pf travel and we slept like babies in the quiet room with windows open and cool Takaka breeze. Hosts were perfect, very informative but also respectful of your space and privacy. Having laundry and kitchen facility was added bonus to an already amazing property. We can't wait to return. The owners were also kind enough to let us charge our EV (pre-arranged) which is a tremendous convenience to start the day recharged,

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Lots of history. Hosts could not have done enough for us - they were amazing. Restaurant food was superb. Highlight of our NZ trip. Thank you

Very spacious. This was excellent for 2 couples with 2 large bedrooms and a lounge room in between to visit. The beds were extremely comfortable and it was one of the cleanest B&B's I have ever stayed in. The hosts were welcoming, very friendly and passed on good travel information. Beach was just down the street with a nice walkway along it in either direction.

Offering free WiFi and set on the bank of a stream, Chalet Karaka offers accommodation 3 minutes' drive from Takaka village in Golden Bay. Chalet Karaka was absolutely delightful - a hidden gem, tucked away in a beautiful, tranquil bushy setting with a small picturesque stream running at the bottom of the garden. The shower was fantastic - excellent pressure with a lovely glass side looking out onto the private garden and stream. The room was spacious and well appointed and the icing on the cake was the generous outdoor undercover living area/deck complete with a Weber for all your barbecue requirements. Ngairie, our host, was friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

Waitapu springs is the most beautiful spot, I cannot wait to return. The Spas and sauna are perfect, the staff are incredible and the overall atmosphere is so peacefull.

I lost my passport and Doug the handyman kept me sane by keeping me entertained. Terrific breakfast. Huge room. Loved the old fashioned villa style. Full of character.

Appleby House & Rabbit Island Huts offer two different accommodation types and is located between Richmond and Mapua on the road to the Abel Tasman National Park. The glamping tent was awesome. Secluded spot, away from the rest of the accomodation. The view was amazing! We would definitely stay here again!
