This place is consistently great which is why we keep returning again and again. Stephanie has everything running to perfection. The location is brilliant for walking in the area. The accomodation itself has everything on the doorstep. Restaurant, pubs, breakfast cafe and the shops in the main street.

The location in a tiny village of about 100 people was perfect - just beautiful! The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, and dinner the evening before was exceptional.

Awesome homely b&b. Firstly, not a hotel. This place is an old 3 story house, but don’t let that turn you away. The house is excellent. The breakfast is soooo tasty. Tasty fresh eggs, and great full English breakfast. Best we have had so far on our tour of England. The rooms are cozy, the king bed was the most comfortable bed we have had so far. The shower had good pressure, and was steaming hot. The towels are large, thick and fluffy. Only a 12 minute walk to the city walls, it was great to get our ‘’steps’’ in. 🙂. The owner/manager was very accomodating and friendly. We parked on-site. A bit of a squeeze, but no complaints. The room we had was a king supreme room on the top floor. It was super quiet, and we had the best sleep so far on our road trip.

This is a gorgeous, extremely clean, comfortable, and well provisioned accommodation perfect for Hadrian’s Wall. The food is AMAZING. Honestly some of the tastiest home cooking you’ll find with a packed lunch that’s second to none. Clare is a wonderful host and made me feel so welcome. I loved staying here.

It contained milk and drinking water.
