Situated in Alajuela City, 31 km from Poas National Park, Alexander b&b features recently renovated accommodation with free WiFi and a garden. Host was amazing. Very kind, flexible when had to check in a bit late, made us a simple but delicious breakfast and drove us to the airport. The water was not working the day we arrived as it was out for the whole neighborhood and they were very prepared with extra water and even offered to heat up water for us to shower with. Great stay!

It's an amazing place when you are a bird watcher. There are plenty of birds during all day. You can watch them from the beautiful terrace. The owners are very helpful and so nice. Just few steps from Birds & Breakfast you can visit the Children's Eternal Forest. We can recommend you stay in Birds & Breakfast !

Lajuela BnB & Hostel is set in Alajuela City, 30 km from Poas National Park, less than 1 km from Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium, as well as 8.2 km from Parque Viva. The breakfast was amazing! I really recommend the place for everyone. Warm atmosphere and great conversations with the lovely owner <3

Located just 27 km from La Fortuna Waterfall, Sunset Inn provides accommodation in Fortuna with access to an open-air bath, a garden, as well as a shared kitchen. Ingrid and Isaias were really friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was the best breakfast and coffee I have had so far in CR. Of course the view was amazing as well and our A-frame had two queen beds, it was much bigger inside than I expected.

Situated 11.6 km from Rio Celeste Waterfall, Jardin entre Montañas offers a garden, and accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. We loved our stay at Jardín entre Montañas. The gardens are stunning, such a variety of flowers, fruits that attract beautiful birds and butterflies. We took the family room which was super spacious and comfy - the beds were comfortable, there was a fan to keep the room cool, the Wifi was efficient, hot showers available, there was a kitchen area with appliances (rice cooker, hot plate, fridge, coffee maker and sink) which allowed us to prepare a meal one evening. The cabins are built by Lisbeth and her husband and are super quality. The breakfast made by Lisbeth was prepared very nicely - a selection of freshly prepared foods which she varied every day (pancakes, eggs, plantains, local cakes, fresh fruit, coffee and tea). She also recommended some really nice places to go and eat and even called up the owner of the restaurant to make sure that they stayed opened for us to have dinner. Before we left, Lisbeth gave us a wonderful tour of her garden which we loved and she gifted us some avocados for our journey. We could not recommend this place highly enough - it is a serene place from which you can easily access Rio Celeste and Tenorio national park. We also found the access to the house very easy even though we arrived in the night- just use Waze and follow the directions to Jardín entre Montañas. The road is not amazing at the end (not uncommon in Costa Rica!) but we managed in a normal car - just go a little slowly!

Situated just 32 km from Poas National Park, Casa del Suizo provides accommodation in Alajuela City with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. Very clean. The owner/operater is a very nice lady and makes a delicious breakfast. Comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Property is located in a quiet area. Only 15 minutes from the airport. Thank you for the wonderful time here. Looking forward to my next visit.

Situated in Pital, Iguanitas Lodge provides accommodation with a public bath and an open-air bath. The property has pool and river views. We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is a family run business and they are the nicest people. It is not a fancy resort but is comfortable and clean. The pool is a great place to cool off. They have a nice outdoor sitting area and a feeding station where a lot of birds come to feed. They also make good food.

Boasting a patio with garden views, an infinity pool and a garden, Villa Tucan can be found in Fortuna, close to Ecoglide Arenal Park and 3.9 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. Loved the location - close to some great restaurants for breakfast The room was great. Exceptionally clean. All very recently done and everything you need for a relaxing stay. Nice to have a shared kitchen to make our own snacks and lunch The pool was lovely, with great views of the volcano Great to see the toucans from our patio and the pool
