Comfy country home with a super friendly welcome. Short walk across the bridge to Portmagee and a great meal at The Moorings. This is a great base if you’re visiting the Skellig Islands. Be sure to allow time to explore Valentia Island, too. Frances gave us a great map with all the highlights (skip St. Brandon’s Well but definitely visit the Fogher Cliffs and the Slate Quarry). Continental breakfast was provided. The views are amazing and there is a lovely outdoor area for guests.

The location was just what I needed. Peaceful, serene, and gorgeous. I planned to stay for 3 nights but stayed for 5. My bicycle was kept safely in the shed. It is difficult to leave.
