Situated within 24 km of Hedingham Castle and 38 km of Freeport Braintree, Apple Tree Lodges features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Colchester. We love the lodge. Beautiful surroundings with gorgeous trees. Spotted some rabbits jumping around in the fields. Beds are comfortable. They have prepared the sofa beds ahead of our arrival so we didnt hv to wait for it . Fully equipped kitchen so we could prepare our dinner every night. Toilets are good eventhough the water pressure is abit low. No problem in requesting fresh towels after our 2nd night of stay.

Walnut Tree Cottage Barn, a property with a garden, is set in Toppesfield, 18 km from Freeport Braintree, 31 km from Audley End House, as well as 34 km from Stansted Mountfitchet Station. The property was extremely clean and felt so homely. It was lovely to relax in the evening with our two boys (ages eleven and nine) with Netflix. Lots of thoughtful little extras like hot water bottles,hair dryers in both bedrooms. The bathroom had shampoo,conditioner and bodywash. We asked for the heating to be turned up as my wife really feels the cold and Richard came over and sorted very quickly.

Featuring a garden and views of sea, Greyfriars is an apartment situated in a historic building in Clacton-on-Sea, 200 metres from Clacton Beach. This apartment is ideal for a long-term family stay. It had everything you needed and even more. A welcome basket with fruits and sweets was waiting for us. There were also some foods and spices. Perfect cleanliness. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lots of towels. Very comfortable beds and the sofa was very comfortable to sleep on. The apartment fully corresponds to the description. Modern appliances and even an air dryer. Excellent location in a quiet street. The owner was always in touch and quickly answered our questions. The vacation was great!

9 Gunfleet court is located in Clacton-on-Sea, 17 km from Alresford, 27 km from Colchester Castle, as well as 30 km from Flatford. This beachfront property offers access to a patio and free WiFi. The property was fantastic! Ample space, very cosy interior. It’s on the 1st floor but not very difficult for us to reach even with luggages. The property is quite strategically located as the town centre is nearby. Would love to stay here again if we are ever back in Clacton.
