If you come by boat it takes some minutes by walk, but the owner Gagga came to pick us by car. She is a professional and attentive host, always available in case of need. Breakfast is majestic. What you need to spend the day making excursions and hiking around the island. Rooms and beds are super comfortable, warm and welcoming. Even if as an Italian prices in Iceland are quite high for me, I found the price very fair and the service outstanding. Don’t miss your chance to stay at the Básar Guesthouse while on the island. A diamond inside a larger diamond that is Grimsey.

So clean and comfortable. Cooked a nice dinner and relaxed after walking around the town. The kitchen had all the basics. The skylights are fun and allowed us to see small/mild northern lights on the night we stayed. Town is small so we could walk all around easily from this apartment. Loved seeing the school children heading out for a hike past the door in the morning.

Appartment has beautiful view,was clean . Owner was very helpfull and gave us advices what to see,eat and answered very quickly if we had questions.

Surrounded by a fjord in the northern town of Siglufjördur, this hotel is 100 metres from Adalgata main street and 17 km from Ólafsfjördur town centre. THE HOTEL IS FULL OF CHARME AND PERSONALITY. NICE DECORATION, BATHROOM SHOWER AMAZING AND CONFORTABLE BED.

It is very spacious and well equipped. We ski toured with Scandic Guides and stayed in the apartment. We love the local bakery, info centre, grocery shop and pool. All was good. Weather extremely wild!!

The guesthouse is located IN the town Siglufjörður, the northernmost town of the Troll Peninsula. , this modern guest house is 16 km from Ólafsfjördur. My favourite stay of our roadtrip. The garden and cottage style decoration of the cabin is just magical! We arrived late and got right into the hottub, outdoors and with great view of the garden. The cabin is a very small space but used wisely, did not feel cramed at any time and it even has all the essentials to cook a quick meal. Highly recommend it for a short stay and for couples. Helen is a lovely host, very charismatic and caring.

I stayed at Hotel Siglo with a group of clients. From the moment we arrived until we left we experienced excellence in service and attitude. All rooms were excellent, beds comfortable, good wifi and great breakfast. We had a great time at Hotel Siglo, enjoying the hot pool, sauna, dinner in the restaurant and working in the conference room.
