It was quite crowded in early May. We did a walking tour with Radius. Our guide Patrick was excellent but he had a larger group than we’d been promised, and it was hard to hear at times. Very clean city, full of parks and gardens. Many young and active people. A lot of things to go and see. All around you can go on a bicycle. The public transport is organized perfectly. The only minus is the food - it's awful - only meet and potatoes!

Munich is beautiful. There is so much to explore - I wish we had stayed longer. The Marienplatz is spectacular as too are the churches. The markets are magnificent - I’ve never seen so many beautifully displayed food stalls.

The city is well worth the visit. Although it suffered during the WWII, there are still many historical building and churches preserved. One can also take interesting one day trips from Munich. I went to view the castel Neuschwanstein and took an excursion to the former concentration camp Dachau. Overall though the hotel was very disappointing. We unknowingly came during the opening weekend of Oktoberfest and spent $325 per night for a hotel that is worth $75, at best. The location is so far from Old Town Munich yet they still charge $19 per day for parking!
