I loved the French decor and Edith Piaf and others continuously steaming through cached speakers in the hallways and rooms. The bathrooms had brilliant marble and fun ceiling mirrors. Even with the impressive decor, the staff is what stole the show. Princess was the first to greet us. She answered all our questions, gave us important information about Bergen, shared recommendations, and gave us a packed breakfast for the day we had to leave early for our fjord tour. Joyce, Alexis, Stef, and Paul, also deserve special shout outs. They were professional, accomadating, and excellent at anticipating our needs. They called taxis, prepared packed breakfasts, found seats at the hotel, and just made us feel welcomed. This hotel gets an A++ for its special staff and customer service practices. Finally, it’s an interesting concept that I’ve only seen in movies where the hotel guests can get “taken up” into the busyness and crowds of the brasserie. The Charmante is a hotel but I learned that people are really into the French cuisine & wines at the restaurant. As we came during the Christmas season and within the first 3 months of the hotels opening it was VERY busy with dinner guests— but I loved the buzz. And if some do not like this, they can just go to their rooms— the noise does not follow :-)

Located in Skulestadmo, Elva Hotel features a garden, bar and free WiFi throughout the property. Guests can enjoy river views. All units in the hotel are equipped with a coffee machine. Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Made us feel at home. Great restuarant in the evening and for breakfast.

Located in Herdla, 41 km from Bergen University, Biologen Herdla provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Nice hotel in beautiful place.

Located on the south coast of Sotra Island, Panorama Hotell & Resort offers a spa & wellness centre three days a week, free WiFi and free private parking. We had a fantastic stay at this hotel, and even the weather cooperated to give us a marvelous sunrise in the morning. The junior suite was very clean and modern, but cozy, and had everything we needed. We had the wellness area with several jaccuzzis and a rooftop sauna under the starry night sky to ourselves in the evening and enjoyed the amazing views in the morning.

Located in Bergen, Moxy Bergen features a fitness centre, terrace, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. Staff was very welcoming and provided a free upgrade! Beautiful view of the ocean from the room. Very near to city centre.

Scandic Voss features a restaurant, fitness centre, a bar and ski-to-door access in Vossevangen. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Everything was great, the room is very nice and comfortable, the personnel are nice and friendly, breakfast is good and with varied options. The location is perfect.

Bergen Harbour Hotel, World Hotels Crafted is centrally located in Bergen, 1 km from Bergen University. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV. Breakfast was outstanding. Cristina (manager) is a gem.

Located on top of Kløverhuset, Magic Hotel Kløverhuset offers modern accommodation in central Bergen. The UNESCO-listed Bryggen Wharf is 400 metres from the property. Great location, great room and wonderful breakfast! We spent our honeymoon in this hotel and it was superb!
