Conveniently located in the Cabore district of Paraty, Pousada Aquino Mar is set 1.3 km from Jabaquara Beach, 1.9 km from Praia do Cais and 2 km from Pontal Beach. This pousada is 1.5 km from the old part of Paraty. For us, it was not a problem since we preferred to take a walk along the canal in the evenings to and from our favourite restaurants and pubs situated in the downtown area of Paraty. This is a very neat, new, well-maintained, and very clean pousada with a very welcoming staff. Air conditioning is available everywhere. Plugs are also available in the room (not near the bed, though!). The rooms are acceptable in size, with a large, comfortable double bed. Cleaning in the room and bathroom was done on a daily basis. Shower pressure was acceptable, and hot water was provided via an instant hot water electric generator (like we noticed in most of the pousadas in Brazil). Hot water at the sink is not available. We have asked for a room overlooking the rear courtyard since, on the roadside, the noise from the street would not be acceptable to us. Windows does not offer soundproofing in Brazil, as we have noticed in many pousadas; therefore, it would be good to carefully select your location. Flat 40" TV with already-available Netflix so that we could follow our favourite TV series. The Internet in the room on TV is via cable; therefore, everything played smoothly. Parking places are available in front of the pousada and away from city traffic. Security cameras monitor the property around the clock, and a pool inside Pousada's courtyard is also available and included in the price only for guests. A small but efficient fridge we had in the room. The property has its own back-up generator therefore in case of blackouts in the area everything is still runing smoothly autonomously. A big plus! In case you have forgotten to buy water or juices from outside, this pousada can sell you water and non-alcohol beverages.

Set in Paraty, less than 1 km from Jabaquara Beach, Pousada Villa Verano offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The owners were very friendly and very helpfull. Would absolutely stay here again, highly recommend!

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, garden and views of mountain, Villa Tiê Paraty is located in Paraty, 300 metres from Jabaquara Beach. Beautiful traditional guesthouse in a little garden oasis where you can relax and enjoy beautiful views of the garden/and or mountains. The property is super clean, and perfectly managed by staff who go out of their way to help you. Breakfast is a variety of tropical fruit, pastries, and scrambled eggs.

Pousada Frezza Mergulho has a fitness centre, garden, a restaurant and bar in Praia Vermelha. Good location on a small calm beach. Helpful staff. Modern A/C.

Situated in Abraão, 70 metres from Abraao Beach, Pousada Aquarela do Mar features air-conditioned accommodation and a garden. The accommodation offers room service and free WiFi. Beautiful and comfortable Pousada. Others are closer to the “port”, but this place is worth the walk. Very helpful, when we neeeded something, very nice staff. We had a wonderful stay!

Located within 6.4 km of Paraty Bus station and 6 km of Puppet Theatre, In Hospedagem provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Paraty. Great and quiet location, warm hospitality. You won't find anything better for this price

Situated in Abraão, 400 metres from Abraao Beach, Pousada Costa Verde features a garden and views of the mountain. The property itself is beautiful and clean, the beds are comfy and the shower is warm. It is located nicely so you can quickly get to the center but also can get a quiet nights sleep if you need. The host is beyond amazing and made our trip particularly special. He helped us book transfer service to and from the island and had many good recommendations. On our final day our water taxi got us back late and he took our bags down and met us at the pier to ensure we made our transfer back to Rio. we couldn’t of asked for a better stay on the island and we will definitely be back as soon as we can. If you are visiting Ilha Grande you can’t go wrong with booking Pousada Costa Verde.

Set in Praia de Araçatiba, Mar da Lua provides an outdoor swimming pool. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a shared lounge and a bar. We liked everything. We chose this place, because the rating for the location was 9.7 and for sure it is. It is amazingly beautiful place - beautiful mountains, peaceful ocean, cozy rooms with seashells used as part of the decoration everywhere. The boat trip that one can purchase from the Mar da Lua takes you to the true paradise beaches. We also chose the place as other guest were writing only great reviews about Mar da Lua owner Francisco. And for sure he deserved all of them - we wanted to organize one very special event for us there and he even gave a contact of his sister who helped to organize it for us. We are so grateful that Francisco allowed us to have a small family wedding there and so grateful to his sister who made it happen.

Pousada Lilás is located on the beachfront in Angra dos Reis, 100 metres from Garatucaia and 1.4 km from Praia de Caetes.
