Dakota Edinburgh, hotel in Queensferry

Dakota Edinburgh is a modern hotel with an award-winning restaurant located 30 minutes from Edinburgh city and 10 minutes from Edinburgh Airport.

The staffs who accommodated our stay from the very beginning until the end of the stay, they were lovely and professional in their line of work. The complimentary sourdough bread tastes very good!

ibis budget Hotel Edinburgh Park, hotel in Queensferry

An 8-minute drive from Edinburgh Airport, ibis Budget Hotel Edinburgh Park lies just off the City of Edinburgh Bypass and 30 minutes’ walk from Edinburgh Park Train Station.

The price was good for how close it was to the airport. Next time I might pay the higher price to be right at the airport, though I doubt I would ever make another plane reservation at 5 AM again but we’ll see.

The White Lady Wetherspoon, hotel in Queensferry

Located in Edinburgh and with Edinburgh Zoo reachable within a 11-minute walk, The White Lady Wetherspoon provides a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar.

I specifically requested a quiet room in the back and booked months in advance. This request was not honored. The restaurant downstairs was quite good and very reasonably priced with a great variety of options. The bed linens were clean and comfortable as were the towels. It is only a few miles from the airport which was our main reason for booking.

A nice little get away for a night after a heavy weekend. Cracking hotel and fantastic views of the 3 bridges over The Forth. Some nice pubs along the way too. Some modern and some with a more local rustic feel.

Queensferry is a lovely place to walk around.

Queensferry is a lovely place to walk around. There are lots of excellent restaurants and coffee shops. I had lunch at the Railbridge Bistro and a lovely dinner at the Thirty Knots restaurant. There are nice little shops to browse in. Queensferry is very near Edinburgh and there is an excellent train service into the city from Dalmeny Station.

Great place to base yourself for trips to Edinburgh or Livingston. Our son loved watching the trains cross the forth rail bridge, the aquarium and the ice cream at the little parlour. Breakfast at down the hatch was also delicious.

On this occasion, I did not stay long but it is a very interesting place with easy access to all parts of Scotland thanks to the Forth Bridges. There are small shops as well as supermarkets and lots of lovely places to eat, most with spectacular views while you eat. I think the best thing is just wandering around on foot, without needing a car, and exploring.

We stayed at Orocco Pier in the middle of the High Street which has fantastic views of the Three Bridges over the Forth River. Enjoyed a great meal at Scott’s at Port Edgar Marina. Free parking for customers. Lovely cafes and coffee shops available. Parking can be difficult but we’ve managed each time we’ve visited.

The room was spacious and spotless. Staff were attentive and check in/check out super easy. The toiletries provided were lovely, and the bathroom was large, with a great shower - very clean. The location is great if you're there to relax, lots of cute cafes and nice restaurants around. There is also free parking not too far from the hotel. Views are stunning! Overall, this is a lovely place to stay if you're looking for a place to relax and explore queensferry. It has an excellent place to enjoy a drink with a lovely view!

It was great. The owner was very kind and solved all the problems we had. I couldn't speak much English, but she explained everything to me carefully. And when you go out into the hallway you can hear the parrots whistling. It's very pleasant. The bus stop to Edinburgh was just a 3-minute walk away, so the location was great. It's not a hotel, so it's a bit inconvenient, but the price is reasonable and the owner is a great person, so I'm very satisfied. Thank you very much.

Location was great - S. Queensferry wonderful in and of itself; perfect base for exploring Edinburgh (bus stop just a few steps away). The loft was perfect for our needs; nice kitchen, very comfy queen-size (or maybe king-size?) bed, well-equipped kitchen. Loved the video provided prior as a "user's manual". Every lodging has different systems (access, heat, etc); really appreciated not having to figure out how things work in the Loft.

The staff were so helpful, especially since I arrived on the Sunday before the Queen's funeral. Everyone really bent over backward to make my stay more convenient and comfortable, including making a call to book dinner and leaving a breakfast snack out since I left before 8am. I would stay here again when visiting South Queensferry or when going to or from the Edinburgh airport.

Rooms are very stylish, bed very comfortable, rooms clean and well maintained. Didn't have breakfast but ate dinner which was excellent especially as I usually make a point of not eating hotel food. I had stayed here before on business and the food etc. was equally good then. Very well priced and within walking distance of all South Queensferry has to offer.

The location was central to Edinburgh, Stirling, and the roads that head to the Highlands. The house was extremely well kept, beautiful, impeccably clean, and had all the modern amenities. The instruction binder on-site was thorough and left no questions unanswered.

This is an old property on the main High St of Queensferry and hence there will always be some imperfections when compared to modern hotels. But the room was great, clean and comfy and the service was excellent.
