Dong Hoi has some beautiful beaches by the resorts, but there really isn't much else going on. There seemed to be 1-2 streets where you could shop or buy things, and there was no nightlife. Room was one of the cleanest and nicest looking we experienced in Vietnam so far. We were able to use the communal kitchen to make us some lunch. However, the night receptionist has his bed in there during the evening/night. So I wouldn’t necessarily count on using it during that time.

It was probably at least 40 yards so it makes for a nice lap pool. The beach sand is powder soft, first time I've experienced that and it was amazing. No waves (almost like a lake), peaceful. Good location, quiet, the stretch of beach goes on. AC works. Dated hotel but it is clean.
