We were so impressed with the owner, we took our 2x dogs, when we arrived she had little treats for them.
Nothing was to much trouble.
The units aren’t done up but they are very clean and comfortable. We loved it.
The owner had also put the heater on before we had arrived so it was lovely and warm.

Motels which are on the main State Highway one can be busy and unless adequately sound proofed you should try and avoid them or use ear plugs for sleeping, also the speed limit determines the degree of road traffic noise and also the main rail line runs through the town and at least 3 freight train thunder through during the night which are as noisy as the trucks.

Levin is a lovely little town.
Levin is a lovely little town. Close to a beautiful beach and was convenient to where we were staying. We were only there for 1 day and a night but we had great service at the Cafe where we had afternoon tea. It was close enough to Wellington Airport to drive to on the morning of our flight back home. We will definitely visit again and explore some more, the next time we are in New Zealand!

We ate at Rongali Indian restaurant and had a great meal. As we were visiting for a family celebration, we did not do the touristy thing, but drove around the area. Always a great place to visit as it is central to Foxton, Kapiti and Palmerston North.
Otaki is still a bottle neck of traffic.

There's a great choice of accommodation.
There's a great choice of accommodation. Levin Adventure Park is a must if passing through-kids and parents will love it to take a break from the travelling. If you like Indian food the Star of India on Oxford Street I highly recommend. Also the Hell Pizza caravan opposite New World on Oxford Street. Amazing service- Pizzas are fabulous and the lamb shanks are a must to try as are the sides. Dont' leave Levin without a taste from Hell Pizza and Star of India.

Nothing to fault, Loved our 5 days / nights at the Levin Kiwi Holiday park, peaceful during the festive season just right for us away from the busy Wellington with family quality time, just us and our children. We had dinner at the local Rangoli Indian Restaurant for our 13 years old son's birthday of his choice. Was easy to get around Levin no problem as everything was central. Highly recommended if you just want to get away from the City.
Thank you Levin for a great family time.
The owner, Jewel was amazing. As I had booked online and not directly through her she very kindly and unexpectedly refunded us $20 that the online site had charged us for our 1 year old son and she also gave our dog some doggy treats for her stay.
Jewel is definitely a wonderful person and the room, especially the beds made for a very comfortable stay. I would recomend this place to stay to anyone who is traveling through Levin.
My partner made a last minute decision to visit his son who lives in Levin.
There weren't many options available over the weekend, so I booked him at Totara Lodge.
He found his room very comfortable, clean, warm and quite spacious for a studio.
He liked the fact that there was cooking facilities in the room - even though he didn't cook, this was a bonus for future Levin stays.
Lovely motel well situated in Levin. Ideal base to explore the Horowhenua or on route to Wellington. Facilities were clean and well maintained. I failed to read my contactless instructions text but was met at reception by an understanding manager/owner(?) who made the process seamless. Will undoubtedly stay there again.
This is *the best place to stay in Levin*. We've stayed around other places as we come to Levin regularly for family reasons. It's away from road, so it's quiet at night. The kitchenette is well stocked. The shower is powerful. The bed is comfortable. It has what a motel needs and does it all very well!
Visually, the property was stunning and full of promise: green, natural surroundings, and a lot of care had been taken with creating the facilities. It is also not far from Levin - though felt a world away - and just up the road from the Greek Monastery which was definitely worth checking out.
The location was okay, we didn't scout around much but no nearby cafes or restaurants that we saw. When we went to find breakfast on the Sunday at 9.30 am, there was nothing open except for McDs. No fault of the motel, but this is what makes Levin a dead place and not for prolonged stays.
An awesome stay we appreciated the availability to check in late, we appreciate the manner of the hosts we were able to be busy without interruptions, just friendly smiles support when needed something, mostly a great place to stay in Levin.
