The Chamberson, hotel in Dunedin

Conveniently located in the centre of Dunedin, The Chamberson offers 5-star accommodation close to Taieri Gorge Railway and Toitu Otago Settlers Museum.

The Chamberson was conveniently located close to the Octagon and had a luxurious vibe about it. The beds were really comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. As someone who struggles to sleep whilst away (and usually needs an eye mask & noise cancelling headphones!) I can say I slept comfortably with no issues whatsoever. The view was lovely & the big floor to ceiling curtains were black-out so no waking up early!

Dunedin Leisure Lodge - Distinction, hotel in Dunedin

Dunedin Leisure Lodge - Distinction is a 4-star hotel set in landscaped gardens overlooking Dunedin’s Botanic Gardens. The hotel is a 5-minute drive from the city centre.

Best bed I've slept in at a Motel, so comfortable and didn't wake up with sore back. Breakfast buffet was good but not very hot so by the time you are halfway through it was cold.

I visited the Farmers Market which was fun.

I visited the Farmers Market which was fun. I also had a takeaway meal of blue cod, oysters and homemade chips from Best Cafe. The meal was amazing. I visited a part of the Botanic gardens which was lovely and watched a women’s rugby game at Opoho, just above the Gardens. We were treated to beautiful weather and a large flocks of wood pigeons!

It was very cold, but luckily it didn't rain and where we've stayed our heatpump was amazing. Dunedin is beautiful with very old beautiful buildings and lots of noisy students walking in the main streets until very late talking very loud and kicking rubbish bins.

We just stayed one night on our way to Stewart island as we have been here many times. We did a trip to Port Chalmers as we hadn’t been there. It a a cute town with a working port. Worth a look and a bit of a walk around.

This attractive hotel is a very modern design and has some great features. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Good, quiet location and we paid for the convenience of the hotel car park. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we could want. You could buy drinks and snacks in the room (inc cocktails). We enjoyed breakfasts/snacks in the hotel cafe and we could explore Dunedin easily. There were lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

everything in this apartment is high end and luxury in a historical building! love the furniture and interior design! full of Victorian character! love the food, coffee and tea provided. Dan is a great host! we had a little problem with the microwave in one of the evenings. after messaged Dan, he rang me immediately and had Andrew came and fixed it in a minute! that was incredible! Bell Hill apartment is the highlight of our Dunedin trip!

Excellent space, style and layout. The apartment has been beautifully restored and well appointed. While the apartment is next to a busy arterial road, and naturally gets some traffic noise in the lounge (but not excessively so), the double glazing and general soundproofing works a treat in the bedroom. It's situated next to a part of Dunedin that has gone through a revival so the food options are on point. Put simply, I could live here.

The location of this hotel is close to the heart of Dunedin. It's a beautiful historic building with great character. Staff were great to talk too, very friendly and helpful. The Grand casino is only a 10min walk if you like that sort of thing but a lovely place for dinner. Our hotel room was very comfortable, good facilities but cold, which once the heater was on if was nice and warm.

My general experience of New Zealand is that accommodations are overpriced and underachieving. Hope Street was quite the reverse. I wanted to stay longer, because it was so convenient and comfortable. Don't expect luxury, mind you, not at the very fair price I paid. But everything I needed and one of the few places I looked forward to going home to.

This property is very well located, walking distance to the Octagon, Railway Satation and accross the bridge to the city cruise port (not Port Chalmers!). The focus on magic was a fun aspect of the hotel. Everything worked. No aircon (but not often needed in Dunedin) Reasonably priced, but you get what you pay for.

Well presented and spotlessly clean with an excellent shower. Everything you could realistically want for a short stay. Very close to the Botanical Gardens and restaurants within walking distance. Downtown Dunedin is 20 minutes walk or a short bus-ride from right outside the hotel.
