Only a ten-fifteen walk from the station - don’t get confused with another Daiwa Roynet right next to the station like I did!
Room was quiet and comfortable, it was just a one night stay on the way from Tokyo to Sapporo so it did its job.

We stopped in Morioka on the way to Niseko. It is a small Japanese city with stunning views of Mt Iwate. Our main purpose was to visit friends, so we didn't do much touring, but Morioka is a lovely smaller city, very walkable, with an active city centre of restaurants and many interesting temples. It almost feels like a mini Kyoto while driving around. We enjoyed Wanko Soba, which is famous in Morioka.

I go to Morioka every month or two, while it's a city it doesn't have the crowded or bustling feel. You're also close to nature. The botanical gardens and lake are a short drive as well as Mt. Iwate for climbing. Morioka is also a go-to for Wanko Soba. I've never had a bad meal in Morioka. Overall, Morioka is a good vertical slice of Tohoku and different from the image of Tokyo that saturates people's view of Japan.

We did not spend day time at the city only night time. We were at the ski resort during the day and Morioka is well located to visit the nearby ski resort. Love the drive from Morioka to the country side. People in the restaurant were friendly although very little English was spoken. It feels very authentic for tourists as it is a very down to earth city.

The Castle park and the small river flowing next to the park was really nice. Also the temple district at the north was worth to a visit. Dendenmushi circling the town is convient to visit all city attractions. One day pass is quite economical to be used. The city can also be seen by walking for people with enough time.
I had one day in Morioka with an additional side trip to Hiraizumi. I think the time was sufficient. For people that may eant to enjoy more the downtown area and shopping an additional one day could be useful.
I wish I had more time to try the soba noodles of Morioka.

Morioka is a very nice city with several interesting sights, which can be easily reached on foot. I also loved the 3 local noodle dishes.
It is also a good place as a base for side trips, e.g. to lake Tazawa.

It’s a good transport hub for other tourist sites in the area. Not much to do in and of itself, but a good place to sleep, get some good food, and karaoke a bit before driving out to Hiraizumi or Jodogahama.
Nice, cozy hotel to stay in Morioka. Hotel was located about a 10 minute bus ride and few minute walk from Morioka Station (or a 30 minute walk). There are 2 convenience stores located in front of the hotel as well as a park and restaurants within walking distance. Would recommend.
Advice for how to get to the hotel: go to the bus loop in front of Morioka station and ask which bus goes via 市役所前(shiyakusyo-mae meaning city hall), the hotel is only a few minutes down the road from the city hall.
I love this hotel. Great choice of mine! Everything was perfect. Nice and clean. Great service. Very convenient location. They provide coffee from 6 am. and delicious breakfast from 6:30 am. They also provide boxes so I could pack my breakfast and had it on shinkansen. I would love to stay here again if visit Morioka next time.
The room was clean, cosy, and comfortable. The location is convenient. The meals were delicious with a good variety of dishes. Your famous local ramen were tasty. The onsen was most relaxing and revitalising. The service was warm, efficient, and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your hotel and will be back.
There is a kitchen and meeting room, which is nice to sit and chat with other guests. It's close to the castle ruins and other nice spots in Morioka. The bus center is nearby, so you can take a bus from and to the station. There are 2 bicycles, which you can use if no other guests want to use them.
The location is really excellent which is right across Morioka Station. Comfortable stay with restaurants around the area. The convenience store is connecting to the hotel which you can pick up water, drinks, snacks. The room is sizeable for our triple sharing with separate bath and toilet.
The hotel is huge, lobby area is grand! It's right in front of Gosho Lake and Iwate Mountain, a perfect view from you room. Onsen is really good, as well as the free skincare. The staffs are all nice. We are also very lucky to see a free night show of Iwate Ken's traditional dance :)
So well thought out. Extremely comfortable and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was excellent, with so much variety.
We loved the area - we ate at the amazing fish restaurant next to the hotel - down the steps to the basement-cozy, traditional. BEST sashimi I’ve ever tasted !
Very good business hotel right on the river. The view of the river and bridge from the room and from the restaurant was superb. The dinner menu in the restaurant is very good. We appreciated the availability of laundry facilities. Very close to Morioka eki.
The location of the hotel is amazing; directly across from Morioka station. It is also close to lots of eateries and a mall as well. The room was very big (by Japan hotel standards). The lobby was also connected to a Lawsons, amazingly convenient!
I feel like I was waited on hand and foot since arriving. The staff was amazing and the hotel itself is beautiful! They also had a shuttle to the bus station so it was easy to get there. And the food, and the hot spring bath...it was all so nice!
The bed is comfortable even for two people. The hotel is not far from north exit of Morioka station. It's quite difficult to find at the first time but there is tourist information box at the north exit that can help you everything.
Excellent location next to Morioka Station. The breakfast is also excellent; many of the ingredients are sourced locally from the Tohoku region. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay.
This is my favorite hotel in Morioka. I like the comfort and style. The breakfast buffet has a delicious homemade tofu dish as well as other local specialties. Highly recommend!
Hotel is new and in excellent condition. The rooftop onsen was superb and really enjoyable and the little bonus touches such as free ice-creams or noodles at certain times
Large lake-view room. Our fourth stay at this hotel and it didn't disappoint. Good food and you can hire a private onsen. It's a lovely relaxing place to stay.
