Very good location to visit the Syracuse-Ortigia and the Baroque cities Modica- Ragusa-Sciccly and Noto. We where in Ragusa Ibla, very cozy old Baroque city with good restaurants ( even for Michelin Lovers there where 2 restaurants with stars ) For doing the tour of the Baroque cities you need a car and to driving and parking in the narrow streets you have to kbe not sressy and concentrated. Also good for your work out , there are many stairs up and down in the city.

Ragusa itself is a beautiful town and very walkable, I'd recommend three or four nights to do it justice. As a town it feels like tourism is an 'add-on' and therefore feels very genuine and Sicilian as are the restaurants all of which we thought were excellent. The only downside is the public transport, to go anywhere outside of Regusa we found to be quite a challenge as basically you have to rely on taxis, however maybe the transport issue is what has kept Regusa such a beautiful place so its not all bad!!!

Ragusa is an enchanting hill town in rural Sicily.
Ragusa is an enchanting hill town in rural Sicily. It is surrounded by steep gorges, with the town spreading up three steep linked hills. It's a fantastic place to spend a few hours exploring the narrow steep streets. We found some wonderful shops - intended for tourists, but good value. There were also fantastic eateries and the local people we interacted with all seemed charming and helpful. We ate dinner in La Bettola in Ragusa Ibla, which was delicious and great value.

Ragusa has two parts to it, the old and new.
Ragusa has two parts to it, the old and new. The old city is very beautiful and interesting to explore. The main street is fun with restaurants, shops and a park at the end with wonderful views of the valley and mountains beyond. We did not go up the hill to the new city however so we cannot characterize it.

I loved Ragusa, the roads are difficult with a larger vehicle but this shouldn’t put you off just research your routes and think about where accessible parking can be found. The new town is interesting but not touristy whilst the old town is a lovely labyrinth of medieval street and lanes with beautiful Baroque architecture. There are restaurants worth searching for and we particularly enjoyed the ‘5 senses’!
Fico-finestra contemporanea has been one of the best accommodations we stayed until now. Not just in Sicily but in general. A very unique place, that went beyond our expectations. They say you get what you pay for. The price we paid was definitely worth it. Suppremely clean, Marco the host has been very friendly and willing to help. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. As for the location, just 2 minutes walking from the heart of Ragusa. We could easily find free parking very close to the B&B.
Excellent location with no ZTL and free street parking. Located at intersection of Ragusa Ibla and Superiore, so it's convenient for any sightseeing plan. Very nice, modern room with fantastic, spacious shower with a views of Ragusa Ibla. Great breakfast brought to the room. Salvatore was a extremely helpful- waited outside to help us park the car and carry luggage to the room. Very responsive when we had a question and gave great advice regarding restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.
We had an exceptional stay at Ad Maiora, totally exceeded our expectations! The hotel itself is an old palace that was renovated in 2019 but still has a lot of quirky character! Rooms are really nicely designed and cosy. It’s perfectly located in Ragusa Ibla short walking distance to most of the main attractions and lovely restaurants and bars. Damiano was a great host, it’s a family run business and they made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was amazing also, would highly recommend!
Our 2nd floor (3rd in US) room had the modern, understated comfort of a boutique hotel. Loved the big towels and the housekeeping service half way through our 4 night stay. The location was very convenient, on a quiet side street...an easy walk from the train station and 7 minutes walk to the stone steps (best views!!! Have your camera/phone handy!) that will lead you to the heart of Ragusa Ibla. Host very welcoming, helpful and responsive. Recommended!
The hotel is located between Ragusa Ibla and Ragusa Superiore so you can easy reach old city and use infrastructure of upper part: main railway station (15 min walk), bus station, restaurants, shops. The apartments are clean, beautiful, well designed with new stylish furniture, tv, refrigerator and comfortable bed. Many thanks to hostess Concetta for very tasty breakfasts , good advice and tips. Highly recommend :)
Great location near the old town . We arrived very late on a Friday (00.30) but had told the hotel ahead of schedule. They had a member of staff to let us into our room and also advised on parking. Room was fine. 3rd floor, clean, lift access etc. Beautiful brekkie in the morning. The pistachio butter is gorgeous. Great spot to explore Ragusa Ibla (old town)
Great location. Rooms are small but clean. Great view on Ragusa Ibla. Public parking near by. Bathroom very special. Did not expect that. Breakfast was the best we had in Sicilia in 7 days. All kinds of meat and cheese. Cereals Fresh fruits and a lot of cakes and biscuits. Coffee was also great. Overall perfect experience. Also the price was surprisingly OK
I spent one night at the B&B Le Stanze del Sole and I had a very good experience. The room was clean, tidy and the equipment was new.
The BnB is 30 mins on foot from Ibla and 5-10 min on foot from Ragusa Superiore historical city center.
The host was nice, she provided me with all the info to access the room ans that was pretty straighforward.
Amazing B&B in the center of Ragusa.
The room had everything to spend a good time : spacious, very comfortable bed and pillows, and a Japanese bidet in the bathroom! The outside area is very well thought through, with different spaces to have a relaxing time, and the breakfast is one of the best we had in Sicily.
Comfortable, clean room and bathroom. Check-in and checkout were smooth.
We were glad that the hotel was in the Ragusa Superiore part of town, because we travelled there by train and the walk to/from the station was much shorter and easier than it would have been if we'd been staying in Ragusa Ibla.
Geographically located in the core of Ragusa Iblea, this B&B allowed us to visit the old town the best possible way. Highly recommended to those who want to visit this area of Sicily.
The staff was very kind and could suggest several tips to make our stay even more pleasant!
The best place that we've ever stayed in on Sicily by far!
Luxury standard fora very reasonable price. The check-in process was so smooth despite our last minute booking. The pool was a small piece of heaven on a very hot island.
Great location, nicely restored building, outstanding Sicilian breakfast- this place is a gem. What really sets it apart is the warm and helpful staff- it was delightful to stay here visiting Ragusa Ibla.
Fantastic property; the best location in Ragusa Ibla, overlooking the steps of the Duomo and Piazza Duomo. Large, beautiful room with original tile floor, kitchenette. Staff was very helpful.
Nice accommodation in the middle between Ragusa Superiore and Ragusa Ibla. On the way to Ragusa Ibla, we have the best view of the town. The room was basic, spacious, and very clean.
Cute, intimate, and lovely updated room in historic Ragusa Ibla. Very quiet and clean private room, within walking distance to fantastic restaurants, bars and shops.
Fantastic location with incredible view over Ragusa Ibla, beautiful terrace, parking in front of the hotel is free; fantastic service and recommendations
