XilHotel was tremendous from the moment we walked in. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was everything (and more) than we might have hoped for, and at a good price. The breakfast was the best that we found in 10 days in Italy with a great view too.

The old town of Gallipoli is quite dirty around the edges and, for me, not particularly appealing. Spending time in the modern part of town is much more representative of Italian culture and family life.
The beaches to the south are really great, particularly in mid-May when they are not crowded and the sea is clear and fresh.

Nice compact town with lots of history and great sea views.
Nice compact town with lots of history and great sea views. Working harbour with a variety of boats and yachts in moorings.
Has been taken over a bit too much by continuous seaside souvenir shops making it a bit tacky in places. Plenty of decent restaurants with an abundance of seafood.

A lively and picturesque old town with an excellent offer.
A lively and picturesque old town with an excellent offer. The pulse of the city can only be felt if you stay in the old town on the island. You can be prepared for remote parking, impossible staircases in buildings... but everything you need on vacation is within walking distance.

We liked town and surrounding.
We liked town and surrounding. Beautiful fish restaurants everywhere. Since we rented the car had the options to explore the other towns nearby. Galippoli was our base and from then we visited historical small town Nardo. The very good option to start your trip in Apulia😊

Gallipoli is a fantastic small town. the old town is separated from the other part of the town by a bridge .Located on top of a rock the old town with the small castle make a very picturesque place where to take pictures from any corners. surrounded by turquoise colour water. In October the water's temperature is still warm for you to enjoy as well as to get a suntan. Lots of restaurants one better than another , offering fantastic panoramic view when sitting outside . The best way to get around gallipoli is on foot , cycling or a moped . In my opinion the best time to visit Gallipoli and surrounding is September ,october ,June and July . particularly good is October ,still warm ,good weather but very peaceful .
Very very clean big room with a very warm and nice host lady. Everyday cleaning. Baia verde beaches are 5mins by car and also there are also beaches 5mins walk from the hotel.
The b&b is close to Gallipoli downtown (25-30min walk /5 mins by car) and in the area we always fund free parking. This is a big plus because in old town/center of Gallipoli could be very hard to park. We are happy we did not have any stres to find parking, thing that can be annoyng especially when is very hot.
Nice typical italian breakfast.
I highly recommend staying at Dei del Mare if you are considering a trip to Puglia or Gallipoli specifically. The rooms and cleanliness at the hotel are exceptional! The hotel also has an amazing breakfast on a rooftop terrace. Additionally, the service from the staff, specifically Giuseppe was probably the best service I have had in my life. Giuseppe went above and beyond the normal duties of a hotel manager and really made my stay amazing. I don't normally leave reviews but this hotel deserves it!
This is definitely one of the best places to stay in Gallipoli. The breakfast was great. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and the rooms are incredibly comfortable, with good wifi and giant baths. You can walk anywhere in the city very comfortably. There's parking you can book if you want it (especially helpful during the busy summer months). There's a wonderful cafe downstairs too, which is open all day and has free wifi.
We had booked and paid for this stay for three nights. Unfortunately it was non refundable. We left after 2 hours and found another hotel 20 minutes away that was amazing in every way and cheaper! The best thing I did on our vacation to Italy was walk away from this hotel and lost over $1,500 dollars. The only positives were that it had excellent air conditioning, comfortable beds and ok wifi.
I stayed ome night as a bicycle travel around Italy. The location I found easily and the owner was a quite friendly and helpfull, even we didnt u derstand each other thnx to Google we Did a neccesery comverstaion. The room was clean, comfort and a very good deal for the price. THE OWNER secure me a safe place for my bicyclw so i reccomand for all the cyclist travel.
Extremely clean room. Anna was very kind and available at every request. Breakfast on the balcony was an experience in its own right. The central location in the old town allowed for a fully embedded experience and the nearby Purità beach meant we never had to move the car. I never wanted to leave Gallipoli and part of the reason was this hotel and its staff.
The property was a boutique hotel, you felt like a VIP from the moment you checked in!
The room was beautiful, we even had our own outside courtyard & plunge pool!
The staff would constantly go above and beyond to improve your experience. From recommendations on what beach to visit to just helping with general questions, nothing was ever an issue.
Fantastic family run guesthouse in a good location .Room large and had everything, great breakfast. The owners went way beyond what could be expected to get missing luggage returned from our flight to Italy.Highly recommended as a base to see Gallipoli .Close to railway station and city centre with free parking nearby
A well located lil comfy place when staying in Gallipoli old historic Center. I truly enjoyed being there on my own. U live in the middle of everything, buildings are just so Bellissimo. Owner was very supportive when questions appeared. U have all u need to cook, enjoy a coffee and relax. Grazie di tutto!!
The B&B was very good. The staff was very helpful in giving us directions on where to park our car (big issue in Gallipoli), etc.
The biggest strength of the B&B is the location, very close to the beach, as well as excellent restaurants and main attractions of the old city.
We had the most amazing stay with Giorgio, and it was definitely our favourite of all our travels around Puglia.
We truly cannot recommend enough! From the get-go they are so lovely and provide great recommendations, the location is perfect and walkable to everything.
Renovated , clean and welcoming hotel with the beach right there. We had a deluxe room which was very spacious.
Breakfast spread was ok but was an exact repeat everyday.
With a rental car it was easy drive to a lot of beautiful sights and cities from here.
good breakfast with ample selection and fresh fruits
beautiful and charming hotel in a former town house in the historic city center of Gallipoli. Every room is different, some have their own private terrace.
Nice roof top lounge area to watch the sunsets
We loved the architectural style, the way the rooms are designed in the minimalist way. It’s an exceptionally beautiful old building. The host is very helpful in giving advice for nature hikes near Gallipoli, as well as ideas for great restaurants.
Everything was excellent. The location, amenities and cleanliness of the property exceeded our expectations. Our host Ugo was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was by far the best we have ever has in Puglia! We will definitely be back!
We had a really good stay at Gallipoli :) Hotel is quiet, comfortable and the owner is nice and kind, and serves very tasty cafe and breakfast on the rooftop terrace with great sea view. I strongly recommend!
Very beautiful location, big & super clean rooms, best breakfast we've had in all Puglia, super nice and attentive staff. When in Gallipoli, we would definitely come back, highly recommended!
