The room was lovely and clean despite going through a major refurbishment. Breakfast was delivered to your room whilst this was going on. Staff lovely and helpful. Stayed here several times and it's location is very central and ideal for cafes, shopping etc. Secure underground carpark.

Food was only acceptable.
Bedroom was a reasonable size.
Bed sheets wer NOT IRONED,CREASED & APPEARED DIRTY. They were replaced with unironed but clean sheets but we had to make the bed ourselves. However the bed was comfy.

Breakfast very good. Friendly host and so grateful he spoke English. Offered parking in the garage, but as we had a large car with roof box we could not fit in (too high - clearance was about 2m and we were 2.15m)

This was a 4-star hotel so you can expect a certain level of comfort and facilities. It is essentially a corporate hotel I would say, so used primarily during the week by business people. The building had an interesting history as a cigarette factory, although apart from a few murals in the room and hotel public areas which referenced this history, the decor was modern and from the inside it was not necessarily obvious that this was a building from the 1800s. It was a good location for us for an overnight on our trip back to the UK from Provence, The hotel is centrally situated and has secure, paid parking opposite the hotel. The food for dinner was satisfactory and served very rapidly. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Surrounded by fast foot establishments on an industrial park, featuring the worst hotel I've ever stayed in name B&B Hotel Airport and also the saddest Carrefour supermarket I've ever been to- a French supermarket with no bread available and a shut down fish counter! Also petrol at 10 cents a ltr more than everywhere else. My review is of the area around the airport not Chateauroux itself.

Easily accessible from our B and B (Deli ghtful).
Easily accessible from our B and B (Deli ghtful). Good pub Le prevenu even though it was a Sunday and mid Xmas / new year. Then onto La Scala less than 5 mins where we had a good Italian meal. Before then walked round the town, great lights and skating rink. Pretty cold so grateful for the house hot chocolate at Cafe de Paris. B and B overlooks the river. Would be lovely in summer.

Disappointing as it did not seem to have the usual French city centre. The one way system to get to the tourist information office is difficult and getting back on the Blois road quite tricky. Of all the French towns & cities I have visited this was not one of the best.

We didn't spend enough time here really, as we were travelling back from the Dordogne to the ferry. I would like to have explored a little more, but we were lucky to find a Lidl supermarket near the studio, and I noticed a lot of restaurants in the area. I saw a Macdonald restaurant which is good if you're travelling with family, and we were near a train station. The following morning, en route to our next hotel, I saw a number of cafes open in the town.
Friendly hosts providing personal service, and a thoughtfully equipped room. Nice breakfast in a cosy setting.
Just a note for future guests - we are fast becoming a cashless society as so many hotels and services are cash only now, especially post-covid. I'm just highlighting that you will require cash to settle your bill at this property. We had over looked this fact, but the hosts kindly gave us a lift to the cash machine and then to the train station. Thank you.
We loved everything about this hotel. The staff were lovely, the room with the balcony is fabulous and spotlessly clean and the food was very well prepared and delicious.
Excellent hotel anytime but particular good location when travelling south. We have travelled along this road many times over the last few years and wish we had discovered it sooner.
Hotel also very accommodating for my 2 small dogs.
Dinner and breakfast here is fabulous. Spacious very well equipped room, exceptional standard. The general feeling of the house is warm and relaxed. The owners are friendly and obliging and welcomed us and our dog. There is nearby countryside to have a good walk. Parking is on site and secure. Our second stay here and we are very likely to use again on our annual trip to the south of France.
Room is pleasantly furnished, creates feeling of comfort.
Breakfast is very good, the choice of cheeses is very good, scrambled eggs are not really the best but this is common failure in many hotels.
Restaurant is very good, they have few choices but they taste great.
Staff is great, very helpful and friendly, they don't speak English a lot but compensate with doing things.
Reception staff friendly and very helpful, room reasonable size and comfortable, room and hotel very clean. It is just off the motorway and a comfortable place to stay if driving too/from Southern France/Spain. Big upgrade from the budget chains, but not cheap. Has a pool which would certainly add some value for a family.
The location is perfect. The beautiful historic building, has a well-preserved exterior. The hotel is clean and modern. It is nice that the hotel is pet-friendly. Parking nearby in walking distance. Historic city center and plenty of places to eat and shop. The hotel has an elevator. Rooms have an AC.
This was my second visit at the property in a short period of time. The excellent location, cleanliness and professionalism of the host made me book this property twice in a month during my visit at Chateauroux.
great value for the price. very cozy, comfortable and quiet. nice decor, it deserves to be called a boutique hotel. good breakfast and impeccable service
