Beautiful, walkable city retaining its character with numerous roman ruins and historic sites. Fun to explore tiny side streets and great restaurants. Watch out for the Mistral - you might need layers or a warmer jacket!

It doesn’t get so many tourists but tourist traps abound. But if you look selectively for a good restaurant you will find several and we had four outstanding dinners. It’s small but cozy and clean with lots of cute squares for tea or a drink. Several good museums and roman monuments. Four days is not too long.

The Easter feria is a good time to visit Arles, although food and service can be as low as 'poor'. Plenty of culture from Roman ruins to street bands. Excellent and elegant Museum of Arles. Wonderful street market on Saturdays with high quality goods. Shops, ranging from very high end local produce and clothing, to convenience stores, most open all (public holiday) weekend.

Arles is just gorgeous, but I also really recommend a guided trip into the Camargue, stunning nature and history. We were guided by Christophe from the official guide association, great experience. Also, the saturday market is a must! A lot of great things on offer to take with you on a picknick in the country-side just outside of Arles!

Charming city. Easy walk to all sights.
Charming city. Easy walk to all sights. Interesting Roman ruins and beautiful Romanesque church. Excellent archeological museum. Welcoming and helpful people. Beautiful little shops. Highly recommended.
This hotel is just a little outside the center but it has free parking with plenty of space. It is right off the autoroute and super easy to get to, something to think about if you are getting in late. It is an easy walk to the heart of Arles, maybe a km or so. There are a bunch of wonderful bars and restaurants in the city centre. We also found art galleries open late whilst looking for dinner.
The combination of proximity, parking, access and price makes this a great spot to stay for people driving to or through Arles. Well done Ibis!
I always enjoy staying at an Ibis hotel because of its consistency. You know what your room will be like. The receptionist spoke perfect English and was very helpful in showing me the bus routes on the map. Free parking is always a plus in France. The room was very large and although it didn't have all the amenities like shampoo and hand lotion, on the other hand it was very inexpensive and a good place for a quiet overnight stop convenient to public transportation into Arles City center.
This hotel is very nostalgic for me . I stayed in Arles 50 years ago and the Source brought it all back to me . Its very old fashioned (but with modern conveniences .) The very friendly service , the garden with its old trees, everything is charming in its unassuming authenticity. Great big breakfast and we got lots of tips in English of what to do and where to go in Arles , which also hasn’t changed they much in 50 years !
I had a pleasant stay at this small hotel. A walking distance from the train station. The room was good size and split to form a semi-suite. Bathroom good size too and plenty of hot water. Everything spick n’ span clean. Staff was both helpful and extremely friendly. So was the staff of the restaurant. Its menu was interesting but always tasty. Lots of small dishes and I can especially recommend the courgette terrine. Truely great.
Lovely hosts. Room was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Great to sit out on the terrace and watch the superb wildlife. A peaceful, ‘rural’ location, but close to shops and a short walk (15 minutes) into the centre of Arles. The swimming pool and use of bicycles definitely a bonus. We had a wonderful time and would stay again!
What a great place to stay, and what a great host. Arles is such a fine town, and this apartment is a short and beautiful walk across the Rhone from all the sights of the city. Clean, comfortable, on a quiet street... All the modern conveniences you would expect in a place as recently refurbished as this. A really fantastic stay all around.
Our apartment in Arles was delightful! It had a design element that made it charming, great windows, a well equipped kitchen, good, spacious bathroom and comfortable bed. It was everything we needed for a short visit to the city. The owner was very helpful when we first arrived and offered to carry up one of our bags to the apartment.
We had a lovely stay at Maison de charme d’Arles. The location is excellent in the centre of the city close to all the historical sites, museums and restaurants. Francois was a charming host who provided a delicious breakfast, excellent coffee and engaging conversation. We highly recommend this property.
The pool is really good and was a very refreshing way to spend a hot summer evening with three kids.
We had dinner and the kid’s menu (fish and chips) and my starter were excellent. My steak was a bit hard but all in all food was good.
Breakfast was very good considering the hotel’s class.
I can’t imagine a better location or place to stay in Arles. Our host was generous and responsive. The place is tucked into one of the best old neighbourhoods; quiet but steps away from all the attractions. One block from the river bank of Van Gogh’s Starry Night. Perfect!
This hotel gives a great first impression with it beautiful decor. I felt like i was walking through a movie set from the early 20th century. The woman at reception was very nice, she a also made a good first impression. The room and bed were comfortable
Lovely hotel with a great pool. Really lovely gardens that you can sit out and dine in. The staff were very friendly.
Location wise this hotel is just a 10 minute drive from Arles which was handy.
Good hotel to stay when visiting Arles by car. It offers free parking on their terrain. Arles is at walking distance, but you can also take your car to the center.
