Built in 1870 and boasting a hot tub, free breakfast supplies and complimentary WiFi, Eagle Foundry Bed & Breakfast is located at the gateway to the world famous Barossa Valley wine district. We stayed at Thomson suite. When we opened the door, our jaws dropped. It was ten times more beautiful and quirky than we could ever imagine. It had a very artistic touch on everything and every corner, showing the very long history of the place as a foundry. Gorgeous brick walls exposed inside with outstanding skylight, windows, bar, pool, kitchen, woodburner fireplace and ... I was thinking of living there forever. Greg, the host, came to say hi, what a lovely man he is. He generously filled up the fridge for us, more than we could ever eat.

Featuring a shared guest lounge, free cooked or continental breakfast and rooms with lovely garden views, Barossa House is just 5 minutes’ drive from a number of Barossa Valley wineries. Our host Sophia was excellent. Helpful with a bubbly friendly personality. A nice breakfast was served on the patio. Location to Tanunda town and wineries was just a few minutes drive. Would stay again
