Lovely, polite desk person. Location is everything we wanted in a rustic centrally located stay. Cabin is clean. Rocks and trees give a secluded feel. My family loved the cabin. I especially loved the outdoor deck.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I am putting Custer and Rock Crest on my return to soon list.

Rocket motel was clean, quiet and comfortable. It appeared to have been newly decorated inside. The room was warm despite the night being cold. A voucher was supplied for a 10% discount on food at the microbrewery opposite. There was a socket by the bed. The WiFi was good. Parking outside the room was good. The location was ideal for my visit to Mount Rushmore.

We recently spent two days in Custer, SD, and it was fantastic. Custer is a perfect base camp for taking in all the surrounding sites including Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, Custer St. Park wildlife loop, and the Custer St. Park Sylvan Lake area including Black Elk Peak-Little Devils Tower-Cathedral Spires hikes.

Initially, we had booked stay in various towns, but changed this and made Custer our main stay. This allowed us a central location, whilst we took days out to State Park, Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, Sturgis and other places, and saved us from packing/unpacking for the duration of our trip!

Great central location to Custer State Park, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, Mt Rushmore. You can get a decent meal. It is not just burger restaurants. Custer State Park has incredible wildlife especially at dawn and dusk. It is as good as most National Parks. The Custer tourist area is the same as any of the others but the buffalo sculptures set it apart. There is also a farmer's market downtown.

Convenient access to the beautiful, Black Hills of South Dakota! A welcoming town with great shops and good restaurants. Next time w3e come, we want to rent quads to travel around the area, especially Needles Highway and Custer State Park Wilderness Drive!
A fantastic customer service experience, due to flight delays from salt lake city via Denver and an unplanned stopover in Denver, I was a day late to Rapid Reg airport. I informed the manager Curtis who was so helpful, and despite their being a bike rally lpcally, he managed to accommodate me 1 extra day in the beautiful town of Custer - I would highly recommend this venue. The staff were so helpful at every opportunity.
This is a charming, older property made special by the extras (cookie hour, indoor heated pool and jacuzzi, expansive grounds and outdoor areas) and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. If you prefer a place with personality rather than the sameness of hotel chains, this is where to stay in the Custer area. Very quiet at night and we saw deer and wild turkeys on the property.
Very well located motel near downton Custer with clean and spacious rooms.
Our beds were comfortable and we could park right in front of our room.
Breakfast was very good with free coffee available at all times.
Staff was very friendly and helped immediately to fix the settings on the heating as it got a bit too cold the first night.
Very great value for money for this place.
The rooms are spacious, clean and have great comfortable beds. The pillows are also great. The pool and spa are also nice and indoors. The location is right near Crazy Horse, Custer State Park (The needles highway, silvan lake, wildlife area), and Mount Rushmore. The owners are delightful and knowledgable about the area. Great place to stay..
Absolutely great quaint place in Custer! Common areas were social ready! Host was very accommodating and the smell of great bbq greeted us. Room was equiped with an hour attention to detail, coffee machine, bidet, and a towel warmer. What else could you want!? Will be recommending this place to all family and friends!
We stayed here for 4 nights and found it a comfortable and well situated hotel which we would be happy to recommend.
Custer itself is a charming little town well situated for Mount Rushmore, the Iron Mountain Road, Needle Highway and Custer and Wind Cave Parks (with all the bison)
This motel exceeded my expectations. I absolutely loved the retro style. It was spotless. And I mean SPOTLESS. Bed very comfy and staff lovely. And on top of that the location was right in the centre.
If we ever go back to Custer, we are absolutely staying there again.
Although an older type motel it had everything we needed. The room was clean and the staff was really helpful. Custer was small quaint place that is well worth a visit and this motel was in keeping. Not modern but working and sufficient for us - good value for money.
The room was large, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Parking is free, but lot can fill in the late evening. Breakfast was quite nice with many options including hot food during Covid. Centrally located to the many attractions in the Custer area.
Rooms had everything you need. Coffee bar and a pitcher of drinking water was available 24/7. Within walking distance to downtown Custer. Had a cute little sitting area out in the front of the building, to enjoy the weather.
We loved the location and the look of the facility. It was spotless, nostalgic yet modern, and within walking distance of a good brew pub. Our stay in Custer was memorable because of our choice to stay at the Rocket.
I really liked that I was able to get a 3 bedroom home with a full kitchen for less than the price of a hotel room. This was a very nice place to stay and I would definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.
Check in was a breeze even though I reached the hotel late. Hot tub was still available so I had a nice soak. I loved the decor of the place. The bed was really comfortable. The Receptionist was awesome.
Nice cottages in Custer, near the main road for Mount Rushmore memorial and the Black Hills National Forest. Large room with all the comfort, good "take away" breakfast.
Location is great only a hop, skip, and jump from main street, we Love Custer and stay in town at least 2 times a year, always try a different hotel, would stay again,
Great option for a stay in the black hills of
South Dakota. The location in Custer was within walking distance of everything. Very clean and comfortable.
The beds were fine but only the pillows were uncomfortable. Location was great and ideally located for a visit to Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore.
