We loved the tranquility and the views. We chose a room in the main building which had a large balcony overlooking the wooded mountains. Alternatively we could have had a cabin in the grounds. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing and the onsite taverna and inclusive breakfast were excellent (we had wild boar one night and local water buffalo sausages the next)

Unfortunately while I am coming from Athens, my stay was too short to give detailed information. I came late after sun set and left the hotel at 6 am next morning to Bulgaria. Secondly it was a winter season and I did not have chance to try facilities during one night stay only. I have to stay more days next time to give better information. I did a good decision to stop here on my way to Bulgaria. Because it was difficult to find similar places in the other side of border. I advise this nice people of the restaurant to cook different light meals served cold made of fresh vegetable of season cooked by olive oil, onion, green paper, tomato and carrot as well by adding a spoon of sugar and enough salt. Using vegetable such as green been, eggplant, artichoke, celery roots, roman beens, leek, paper stuffed by roasted rice in olive oil with onion , currants (byzantine style) and pine kernel.(Each vegetable is for a different kind of meal of course.

I will return to Sidirokastro whenever I come or go to and from Greece. It is the place that offers me the rest and peace necessary after long trips behind the wheel as well as the ambiance that allows me to remember the pleasant moments of the holiday.

We liked how we were greeted with a glass of welcome wine. The room is clean, spacious and the breakfast very good and varied. Parking is secure at the hotel. The price is very good for what it offers: swimming pool, terrace, green space. Thank you and recommend!

We had a very big surprise as we were upgraded free to the new Deluxe rooms which have a more modern design. As always, the people are very nice and helpful. Besides the welcoming drinks, water, tee & coffee in the room, this time we also received bottles of water and juice for the road when we left. This is the perfect hotel, where everybody is so nice and thoughtful. Definitely will return:)

Especially liked the staff and the garden area where you ca have breakfast or dinner. Food was good too. I recommend a quick detour to see the 1000 year old plus fortress ruins on the hill top in the town, with a nice view also!
