The location, nothing else. Room has thin curtains, which is great if you are an exhibitionist but not otherwise. It's a maze to get to your room, so if you like playing useless games to get to your room, this is excellent.

I seen development in the City since the last time I have visited. The city is no longer boring, but getting vibrant with many amenities and opportunities.
Smaller City but has everything what's needed for a modern urban life.

I was there primarily to see "Mandy Patinkin in Concert", so I can't review Halifax for you, other than the driving experience... Street signage could be better in a lot of the downtown core... but yes to coming back to see more of it....

I've stayed in this city many times.
I've stayed in this city many times. Always lots to do no matter what your interests. It has a pretty vibrant night life, and I've always felt safe here, no matter where I walked. Lots of history, lots of night life, lots of dining options (Seafood is a MUST!!), lots of tours, museums, etc. I live in Ottawa, and Halifax easily compares in the museum and history aspects, and in some ways is even better. Go there. You won't be disappointed!!

Halifax is fantastic.
Halifax is fantastic. We travelled there 2 Septembers in a row (4 and 2 days respectively). if you stay downtown, you are able to walk to all the local attractions- we especially loved the boardwalk, citadel, and shopping downtown. Many many fabulous restaurants and museums. Also, fun to stay in Halifax proper and take excursions to local attractions( ie Peggy's Cove and Laurencetown beach) Prepare for rain - but this in no way detracts from having fun in this great city

If you only have a bit of time do the harbour hoppers tour.
If you only have a bit of time do the harbour hoppers tour. Lots of historical information about Halifax. A tour of the Citadel, important or historical sites and a brief trip into the bay to see the Halifax Harbour. Two thumbs up and very reasonably priced.

Halifax is more of a town than a city.
Halifax is more of a town than a city. I would say 2 days is ample, 3 at the most. I would say it's a walkable place but I walk mostly everywhere. If you use transit (bus, ferry) or use the bridges - you need to have cash (coins - $1 and 25 cents).
The ferry across to Dartmouth is a fun little outing.
The Titanic exhibition in town is informative but over-priced. At most you will spend an hour in it.
I found Halifax a curious mix of individuals - lots of students and a fair amount of homeless folk. Some folk were super friendly but there does seem to be an element of 'tension' between the locals and the more transient populations - tourist, students, cruise people. I've travelled a lot and have never had that sense of tension before.
Accommodation is super expensive or pretty basic. I stayed in a hotel in the North end, it wasn't cheap, $168/night and it was not good.
My overall recommendation on Halifax - Go take a look for a few days but head off to see the rest of NS.
Great hotel, all the facilities you’d expect (and hope for) including hair dryer, ironing board, coffee machine, huge (!) tv and fridge. We asked for a kettle and it was provided. We had a queen with balcony and harbour view, which was lovely.
Halifax is very walkable and the hotel is perfectly placed to do that on the periphery of downtown.
Lovely warm, informative and efficient welcome from Tim on reception.
Lots of parking available at hotel for CAD20 a day.
Nice pool and gym.
We loved our stay at The Prince George Hotel. The location was perfect for seeing everything we wanted to with Halifax. We really wnjoyed the Pedway which connects the hotel to the Harbour downtown without having to deal with the hills or the rain we experienced. The bar was also great and the staff is knowledgeable and extremely talented. If we ever return to Halifax, we would only stay here.
The hotel is in an ideal location in Downtown Halifax and you can walk anywhere from there. Great proximity to the waterfront harbour. Rooms are of a fair size with a decent sized bed and lounging area. Staff are friendly. Wi-fi was good. There is a pool, gym and individual sauna's for male and female. Considering it is in the heart of downtown Halifax, the restaurant is relatively quiet.
We loved the apartment as it was spacious, very well equipped. Nice touch having bathrobes. The location was fantastic in a lovely neighbourhood, only a 20-minute walk to downtown Halifax. Fantastic balcony with floor to ceiling windows with a lovely view of the surrounding skyline. Great to have private parking. Would rate this property 5 star.
I cant say enough good things about this hotel! Each getaway to halifax we stay here with our two australian shepherd. The prince george hotel offers a great location, underground parking, a tasty lobby bar, super friendly staff and they even provide a gift bag for the fur babies!
Cant wait to go back to halifax and stay here again 😊
Great location! Right downtown Halifax. The rooms were nice and clean. Very stylish too. You are steps within a LOT of great restaurants and coffee shops. The hallways were also very quiet. If people were coming and going we didn't hear them, unlike some other hotels we've stayed at in Halifax. Staff were efficient and friendly.
Clean and comfortable. Location is a bit out of the way as we didn't have a vehicle so we relied on ride sharing and was reasonable to downtown Halifax. Lots of kids in the hotel and it sounded like the pool area was popular. Breakfast was tasty too.
Modern room, the TV was the biggest I've seen in a hotel and had streaming options, and it pivots to face the couch or the bed. Perfect location in the heart of Halifax restaurants and nightlife, and a couple blocks from the waterfront.
Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and plenty of food and variety. The hotel was close to many amenities, including restaurants and shopping, and convenient to a ferry to the Halifax waterfront.
Nice, clean room with expected amenities. No microwave, but one was down the hall in the lounge worked out for us. Loved the location as it was walking distance to downtown Halifax in a decent neighborhood.
Nice hotel, very busy/lively. Short walking distance to citadel and shops/restaurants on quinpool street. Also walkable to downtown/ waterfront, but a farther distance. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms.
everything is within walking distance. it’s the perfect place to book if you want to stay in downtown halifax. I would definitely book this place when I come back and visit
Perfect location, was clean and Exactly as described.
Easy to communicate with.
I’ll be back when need to go back to Halifax and want to enjoy downtown on the waterfront.
Location was great. Only a short walk to downtown Halifax and the harbor. The unit was reasonably equipped. Would have been nice to have had some sweetener for coffee.
The hotel was situated very close to the waterfront and other amenities like the Halifax Public Gardens so it was easy to walk rather than use our vehicle.
