I loved the town. It is a chance to see the real Morocco.
I loved the town. It is a chance to see the real Morocco. The people are genuinely friendly. The beach is beautiful. We had dinner in Snack El Bahri. A very nice seafood dinner for two with beverages for 15 dollars US. The town is lively and felt extremely safe. I want to return . .

Super Town with a buzzing vibe.
Super Town with a buzzing vibe.
We ate delicious lefts in the main square at the end of the souk. Pomegranate juice is my new favourite drink.
The fish market is clean and efficient with a grill restaurant above. What’s not to like?
The massive industrial plant to the south gave us some concerns in terms of pollution.

I went on a tour north along the Atlantic coast of Morocco. From Agadir in the south to Tangier in the north.
The land route was 900 km. I did not make a stopover in Rabat.
Agadir is a clean and neat city. Agadir was the most European-like city that I came to in Morocco.
If you want it to be a little more exotic, then El Jadida is an excellent place. El Jadida has all kinds of styles. The typical classic Morocco. The French colonial style. The old Portuguese medina-like style, as well as the modern Moroccan style.
Casablanca and Tangier are clean modern big cities.
I think Essaouira is a little over advertised. Essaouira has a large medina which is a tourist attraction. Safi was a paltry town not worth visiting.

Definitely not ready for simple tourists, which sometimes can be a plus. But the entire citadel is running down, and the cisterns were closed because they collapsed. The city doesn't have the same feeling as other cities in Morocco - Azemmour, 10 minutes distance, has much more vibe.
Breakfast was great, more than I could eat each morning: small egg omelette, coffee, fresh juice, yogurt, 3 breads/pastries, small containers of oil, jam and olives, square of cheese. View from room was spectacular. Clean room, comfy bed, air conditioning, outstanding shower water pressure. Central location only 1 block from the beach. Staff were almost uniformly friendly and super helpful. This hotel has everything you need for a great stay in El Jadida! And the price was excellent.
My son discovered the hotel. Location room size and service was exceptional. Booked triple room and size of room was excellent. I would again book and stay at the hotel. Plenty of restaurants close by. family run laundry near by. Old town is approx. 5 minutes taxi ride AVENUE ZERKTOUNI off AVENUE MOULAY ABDELHAFID. Traditional Moroccan thobe in old market and Gold jewelries. Fresh sugar cane 6dh and pomegranate juice 10dh. Historic Fort didn't get chance to explore.
The fact that the large apartment was modern and immaculate especially after we worried the effects of covid which might cause the apartment to be run down. A great location. The continental breakfast was nice. Hanane was friendly and professional and made the check in and check out effortless. She also told us that a free pizza was also a special for us during our two day stay. It was a great Ragazzi pizza. And close to great pastry shop.
Very cosy and comfortable place. Our first night in Morocco. Very warm welcome from the hostess. Beautifully decorated house that would be very enjoyable in a bit warmer season, with nice yard. You need a car to drive to the town, but you won't be here without a car anyway. Plenty of the parking near the town and a free parking in the yard of this house.
We were amongst the first three guests staying at Oceana Mazagan Suites Hotel. The property had been taken over by a new owner, and the previously run down hotel was being renovated. Very nice view if you get a room with view to the ocean. Above KFC and opposite McDonalds - practical, as during our stay no meal services could be provided.
Evrything about the hotel was super coool stuff ..restutrant ... the location .... the vue .. Im difently going to go back and take a searoom not a standard one ... also the hotel is near to evrything and I saw a parking place for cars 🥰🥰🥰...and thanks to the receptionist girl on sunday was so nice and very polite ...
We had a great stay at Moustafa's place. It is perfectly located to explore the lively town and beach front by foot. Moustafa was very kind and welcoming, he explained everything perfectly when we arrived brought us coffee and he even went out of his way to bring us an item we forgot at his place to Casablanca!
Location is great. Nice breakfast. Good decoration, local elements with a modern touch. Specious rooms. Terrace on top and the common saloon in the enterence are good.
We had to make a phone call and we didn't have a Moroccon line and they were very helpful about that.
It is a beautiful Riad in the wonderful city of El Jadida. What a welcome change from the madness of Marrakesh. The staff were exemplary. The room was very romantic. The breakfast was the best one we had in Morocco. This place made me want to return .
Great value, a relaxing hotel with lots of pools, right on the beach. Quiet. Enjoyed the breakfast, had a tagine at the restaurant, also good. Five minute drive to the Portuguese old town, worth a visit, otherwise we just hung out at the pool.
Beautiful, majestic riad
Clean and very well maintained
Rooms are well stocked with fully functional appliances
Delicious breakfast
Centrally located
Most sights are within 20 mins walk from the hotel
Amazing Riad in Cité Portugaise. Beautiful decoration and details.
Great terrase.
Family type with two rooms. Our room had a small patio.
Best breakfast in our tour of Morocco.
The location of the house was perfect,
close to the beach and the city.
The house super secure.. with a private parking.
The host was welcoming, very nice and always
available.
I absolutely adored Dar Aboulanwar, it was such a peaceful retreat and the hosts/staff were so kind and friendly! I'll definitely be back here next time I'm in El Jadida.
My family and I stayed at this hotel. The food was great and the staff was amazing, all within a reasonable price. I will come back to this hotel for sure.
