Our host Jane was wonderful and messaged throughout our stay, making sure we were all settled and comfortable. We were even able to have a later checkout at no extra cost- which was much appreciated with the pouring rain! The location was fabulous, with stunning views across (photos do not do it justice) the bay and a lovely coastal walk to beautiful secluded beaches ( Coastal Path). The accommodation sits in an elevated position, which was not a problem for us, but maybe for someone with mobility issues ( this is stated). The bedrooms were all of perfect size and easily fit 2 families or group size of 8 and the added bonus of 2 lounges was perfect. The main lounge has a fire that we made use of and is great for warming the soul on winter nights. The hive heating also kept us nice and warm. We have already booked another stay for next year!

The town is a busy little place with plenty of choices for eating out , bars etc. It a key access point for two heritage railways, and for Portmeiron. Black Rock Bay is superb, rolling dunes and sandy bay for miles. Very large holiday home resorts back onto the bay, though well hidden. So expect some very busy times and lots of families enjoying their weekends and holidays, out of season the beach is perfect for beach walks.

Great restaurant's to take your pick from.
Great restaurant's to take your pick from. A really lovely pub (The Australia) highly recommend and the Snowdonia national park on your doorstep . you can also take advantage of the main line train to do large sections of the Wales coastal path getting off and walking a section and on again at different stations, Note, please tell the conductor witch station you want to get off at as the train doesn't stop automatically at all stations.
Welsh coastal path is stunning in and around porthmadog well worth walking.

Porthmadog is the perfect place to stay when visiting Portmerion, or if walking and exploring the area. It does have a pretty harbour/marina. There are plenty of choices for eating out. Plus the heritage railway is a short walk.
This is an excellent 2-bedroomed cottage based in the centre of Porthmadog, ideally situated for all parts of Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula. A lot of thought has clearly gone into furnishing this very well maintained property, with its "Tardis" like features. The 2 bedrooms are downstairs, along with a bathroom. The large upstairs area is open planned with both dining and lounge area, along with a well furnished kitchen. Well recommended in all aspects.
An overnight stay to an area I hadn't visited in a long time. My husband had never been, so for both of us we were blown away by the staff, facilities, location and the location we were moved to as prior notice let us know the hotel was closed for a few days for a refurb.
I'd recommend this site to everyone, couples, families and people who travel alone. Picturesque, quiet, beautiful countryside, great facilities and some lovely walks.
Dinner was delicious, very few tables (wasn't high season though) so definitely book in advance. Comfortable rooms, very good size, and a very nice shower/bathroom area. Looked like it would have been fun to stay in one of their holiday lets/camping areas too. A little pricey, but it was great for the location we wanted
Loved the location of the hotel, Tremadog is a really picturesque little village. The room was lovely and didn't disappoint, we loved the outside patio area with seating for drinks before our meal. The food in the restaurant was great and the atmosphere very relaxed, the staff very pleasant, would definitely stay again!
Great location overlooking Porthmadog harbour and a convenient parking space with easy access to the High St. Liked the arrangement of the living/kitchen area on the first floor. Owner was very helpful. The apartment is small but well-planned, a good base if you're planning to be out and about. Would stay again.
The staff were so helpful .The rooms were clean, excellent shower. The restaurant and had a nice ambiance.and the staff were faultless.Good good from the restaurant and a lovely tasty full Welsh breakfast.Good location for all the amenities of Porthmadog. I look forward to staying again in the future.
Gorgeous holiday flat with plenty of room. Bright and airy. Super comfortable and in a great location for exploring Porthmadog and the surrounding area. It was perfect for our family of adults. The parking space was very useful. Communication with our host was prompt and helpful.
The location of the suite of rooms was excellent, overlooking the Town Square on one side and the estuary on the other. It was relaxing strolling in the Village in the evening and early morning. Good views of the estuary from the hotel dining area.
Excellent B&B to stay while touring North Wales. Clair and Steve keep the accommodation clean and tidy at all times, and provide a good selection to choose from for breakfast.
Very helpful staff and great restaurant serving excellent food. Excellent location for the old harbour in Porthmadog and for exploring the area between Harlech and Criccieth.
The food was fantastic - I had breakfast and dinner in the hotel and they were both excellent. The setting of Portmeirion (PM) is amazing, I never get fed up with visiting.
We loved how cleaned the caravan was, having all everyday essentials at hand. Lovely area made use of all amenities. Would definitely like to stay again.
