    I only passed by the town during my short trip to tanjong...

    I only passed by the town during my short trip to tanjong jara. But there’s everything u needed. Drugstore chains, clinics, banks and loads of restaurants with local delicacies. Oh and a visit to Rumah Kraf Batik at Jalan Nibong stesen is a must - a local artisan batik specialist. You can find high quality caftans from various materials; cotton / silk, shirts, baju kurung, parios and scarves.

    I was in Dungun for a diving trip to the nearby Tenggol...

    I was in Dungun for a diving trip to the nearby Tenggol Island, which is about 45 minutes speedboat ride from the nearby jetty. There are plenty of good, affordable hotels in Dungun, especially along the road beach plus quite a few homestays around the same area. There are also plenty of restaurants in that area meaning you do not have to travel far away to get food if you stay around the area.

    Peaceful with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Abundant cafes along the beachfront. Compact town area with a good range of shops for everyday items. The beachfront itself is really nice - a long stretch of walkable golden sand.

    The sleepy town has become more vibrant in recent years.

    The sleepy town has become more vibrant in recent years. Few new beach resort that I like to try such as Permata and Ulek beach resort. Even a few cafe and dine in available along the beaches. 8km of white sandy beaches but not really safe for swimming due to big waves. Plenty of eateries for must try local food. They even have mcdonalds there. Great town!

    Dungun is very nice place, and it is the place for travel cause many beautiful beaches. The food in Dungun is very affordable and nice like nasi dagang, and many of masjid at the Dungun, the road is not busy easy to u-turn, and have the nice food like keropok lekor and everything

    The size is just right -- the town offers all the mainstream food and social favourites. No traffic. Only 30 minutes from Kuala Terengganu, via a really good dual-carriage way. I'd stay in Dungun more than I would Kuala Terengganu

    a Nice Bali-Euro concept chalet . Simple but a 5star hotel suite/studio apartment experience with an affordable price. Good water pressure. Washing machine (soap is provided). Complete appliance in kitchen (toaster, electrical jug, microwave, water purifier, stove, utensils). Air cond is effective that made the entire chalet cool even when the outdoor weather is hot. Slightly too close between chalets but great place for big family/friends staycation.

    My 2nd stay at this hotel. Their receptionist are welcoming even when I arrived late. Check in is fast. The room's floor is installed with tile, not carpet, and I love it because of my allergy to dust. The room has aircond, fan, water heater, kettle, tv, mineral bottle and cups. There is a restaurant nearby that open at night and another restaurant open at breakfast, even though, the hotel provide nasi lemak bungkus, kopi O and tea O.

    Owner was very helpful and nice since we book the place late around 7.40pm to stay a night there, furthermore owner do stopping by to give us water as complimentary and additional bed. The place was huge with 4 bedrooms and beds, near to the Dungun Market, a few kilometre from kuala abang beach where kids can swim more safely..recommended for family stay.

    Staff was extremely friendly and efficient. We have been to the hotel very often and it was lovely to meet a lot of the staff again. The location right at the sea , the lush tropical gardens. Always enough pool towels and ice water throughout the day.
