On checking in- and a comment for all gated accommodation in Malaysia on Booking.com- we need to ask ourselves a fundamental question: who are we gate-keeping? Who are we keeping in safe-and from whom? Who are we attempting to keep out-and why, given the relative safety and security of Malaysia- a notable feature of the country? These questions need answering before visitors feel completely comfortable with what seems overly complicated check in/out processes

Bayan Lepas is in the middle of Penang. It is nearby Georgetown and also Balik Pulau. Though it was not near the beach, you still can go to nearby beach during day time and spend your night in hotels around Bayan Lepas. You can save on your accommodation and enjoy shopping.

There is water dispenser available for both hot and cold water but not functioning. Need to ask for a kettle. otherwise meet my purpose of travelling. Parking quite limited and small area.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Toiletries and bedroom slippers were provided for. Breakfast spread came with wide selection of cuisines and well presented too. Hotel employees were very friendly, patient and helpful. I enjoyed my stay very much and this hotel will be my choice in Penang if I do come back for my next visit!

There's a lift despite the hotel being only 3 floors high, so it's a plus point for people with special needs and older folks. I'll come back again.
