Don't believe anything David Adams Richards wrote about the place. It's a lovely, peaceful place. I just chilled here for a couple of days. Had a 'crafted' beer at the New Maritime Beer Co. Then, some tasty food at the food truck at Pleasant and Regent. Had my breakfast at the inimitable Mill Cove Coffee (a great place to meet locals, "No worry."). Walked down by the charming wharf and lighthouse at Ritchie park. Walked across the abandoned bridge and over to 'Bugbear Island.' Stopped in at John's Used Books & Souvenirs. The captain is a fascinating guy, but I'm afraid he might not be around for much longer. Stop into the Black Horse Tavern, for a retro experience, Etc. etc. I love Miramichi.AAnonymousCanada - 10Scored 10
The venue was exactly what i needed.
The venue was exactly what i needed. It was enough out of the way to focus on work but close enough for family if needed. The local area was nice enough and i drove a little further afield to some stunning locations in the mornings. It is a nice little area. Lovely and well maintained old buildings and you get to see Newcastle, Miramichi and Chatham as they are all part of this area. Pleasant little cafes and lots of great places to eat. People were friendly and very helpful. We felt right at home in this lovely area. The river views were stunning.GwenCanada - 10Scored 10

I would highly recommend this hotel if cleanliness and updated washrooms are important you. The linens in the washroom and the bed linens were crisp and clean. I will definitely stay at this Ramada in the future.

We have family living there. Very quaint city. Lovely ppl. Very friendly, and helpful. Most r of Irish decent, & you can tell they’re proud of it. A small taste of Ireland on Canadian soil. The immigrants from other countries seem to fit rt in. Down home food: Kingsway Restaurant . The Portage (just past Chatham, on Hwy to Moncton). To me Mirimichi was just an overnight stay on a road trip.
To me Mirimichi was just an overnight stay on a road trip. However after ‘discovering’ Ritchie wharf park at the waters edge and spending a wonderful evening taking the Max Aitken boat tour along the Mirimichi river and then dining at the park I realized Mirimichi has a lot to offer and could be a destination visit on its own. I left promising myself to go back again sometime to give the town the time it deserves.PhilipCanada

Beds were comfortable, rooms were immaculately clean, very new facilities so everything works well, nice pool, fluffy towels and the restaurant food was also amazing. Also location is a nice spot by the water, took a stroll to the small wharf toward the bridge. The price was also pretty reasonable.

We keep coming back because of the friendly staff, clean rooms, great parking area. Located on the Miramichi River with beautiful views. But still close to everything you need.
