Don't believe anything David Adams Richards wrote about the place. It's a lovely, peaceful place. I just chilled here for a couple of days. Had a 'crafted' beer at the New Maritime Beer Co. Then, some tasty food at the food truck at Pleasant and Regent. Had my breakfast at the inimitable Mill Cove Coffee (a great place to meet locals, "No worry."). Walked down by the charming wharf and lighthouse at Ritchie park. Walked across the abandoned bridge and over to 'Bugbear Island.' Stopped in at John's Used Books & Souvenirs. The captain is a fascinating guy, but I'm afraid he might not be around for much longer. Stop into the Black Horse Tavern, for a retro experience, Etc. etc. I love Miramichi.

The venue was exactly what i needed.
The venue was exactly what i needed. It was enough out of the way to focus on work but close enough for family if needed. The local area was nice enough and i drove a little further afield to some stunning locations in the mornings. Pool was very warm and quiet, staff were incredibly friendly and on had 24/7

It is a nice little area.
It is a nice little area. Lovely and well maintained old buildings and you get to see Newcastle, Miramichi and Chatham as they are all part of this area. Pleasant little cafes and lots of great places to eat. People were friendly and very helpful. We felt right at home in this lovely area. The river views were stunning.

I would highly recommend this hotel if cleanliness and updated washrooms are important you. The linens in the washroom and the bed linens were crisp and clean. I will definitely stay at this Ramada in the future.

To me Mirimichi was just an overnight stay on a road trip.
To me Mirimichi was just an overnight stay on a road trip. However after ‘discovering’ Ritchie wharf park at the waters edge and spending a wonderful evening taking the Max Aitken boat tour along the Mirimichi river and then dining at the park I realized Mirimichi has a lot to offer and could be a destination visit on its own. I left promising myself to go back again sometime to give the town the time it deserves.
It is the second time we stop and stay at this hotel and always love our stay here. Beds were comfortable, rooms were immaculately clean, very new facilities so everything works well, nice pool, fluffy towels and the restaurant food was also amazing. Also location is a nice spot by the water, took a stroll to the small wharf toward the bridge. The price was also pretty reasonable.
We ( 7 cars) come to Miramichi once a month for the derby (Speedway Miramichi)
We stayed here the first time for the pool. We keep coming back because of the friendly staff, clean rooms, great parking area.
Located on the Miramichi River with beautiful views. But still close to everything you need.
The property was willing to accommodate an early and late check in request. Upon arrival I asked for a couple of wine glasses for the room. Someone arrived at my hotel door in less than 5 minutes with a 2 wine glasses in hand and a smile. Simple ask, great service.
From our arrival we were met with smiley, happy, helpful staff. Hotel is clean & tidy. Rooms good size, bathroom clean and functional. Wifi good, TV good. Breakfast was simple but good. Waffles were a bonus. Laundry facilities were also a welcomed extra for us.
The room and the bathroom were clean, comfortable and spacious for the short stay we were having. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Since the hotel is directly facing the river, there was a nice cool breeze entering the room.
In the winter this is a real snowmobile hotel. Which is great. But if you are not a snowmobiler, make sure your room is at the back of the hotel. The snowmobile trail access makes this a great hotel for sledders.
The Ridd Mirimachi provided comfortable accommodation at a high standard! We enjoyed the breakfast as well. The hotel has ample free parking and is located on the Miramichi River - a lovely spot!
Bathroom upgrades were really nice.
Great water pressure and tons of hot water.
Friendly staff that were very easy to get along with.
Overall a good hotel for the price!
