We have traveled in the main land Greece and it was great.
We have traveled in the main land Greece and it was great. IN my opinion, Corfu is over rated. It is a big island full of cars with traffic lights not working anywhere. So, there is traffic in the Corfu town and surrounding and no place to park. The building are all old and run down and nobody cares about restoring or painting them although the town makes a lot of money from tourists. There is not much to see except for an old fortress and the Achilleion palace which is closed for renovation. Beaches are just average sandy or rocky beaches and not comparable to the mainland beaches in terms of beauty. If you want to go around the island, it takes you hours to drive and may not worth your time and cost of rental car and gas.

The property is extremely good with a big green garden .and the host was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the house for families with children as well. There are also lot of good restaurants nearby- our favourite was the taverna Kafesas with delicious greek style kitchen.

The town offers large beaches, many restaurants and travel agencies that can take you to the boat trip or rent scooters or car. I recommend renting a scooter at Corfu and take a trip to other locations.

The village is a very typical narrow purpose place - I'd call it one street village akka main road plus to the left the beach to the right the houses. I have chosen it primarily for the beach. The village has everything one could need for holiday and its huge added value is reliable public bus scheme allowing to get to Corfu town or other villages on the south of the island. The key disadvantage (at least at the time of my stay mid July 2023) is that the public bus do not go to the north of the island, so for example no visit to Paleokastrisa for patty cash price, but one can have private boat rides toward north for a solid price.

One of the best places in Corfu. Long real sandy beach, no stones, no pebbles, real sundy beach approx. 3 km long, we can swim naked ;-). We found this beach during our previous stay and if Corfu, then Issos beach.

I've been to Greece many times, but Gerekos studios were by far the BEST accommodation. The apartments are exceptionally clean, perfectly equipped with everything you would need, even for a longer stay, with a beautiful garden and just 2 min away from a fascinating sandy beach. The owners of Gerekos studios are exactly as exceptional as their house, just unique people with warm hearts and so welcoming. If you want to explore South Corfu with all its beautiful nature, Gerekos studios should be your choice. :)

"Arrived as a guest, departed as a friend". This motto is not printed on billboards by the hosts, but lived. We were able to spend very relaxed days in a family atmosphere. The rooms are a bit outdated but in perfect condition. The rooms, the pool and the whole hotel are very clean and the location directly on the sea is perfect. We also got valuable insider tips for excursions. Many thanks to Anastasia and Jannis for the wonderful time, we are already looking forward to our next visit.

everything was perfect. it's a big renoved country house with 1 or 2 bedrooms, equipped kitchen, aircon and cable tv. the boss olga, a tipycal greek hard-worker woman, and her son jannis were very helpful with a lot of suggestions about places, beaches and restaurant. they give us good tea and we could borrow sun umberella. agios georgios beach in 10 min. walk and 2 more wide and quite beaches and a lake not so far. stricktly recommended.

The breakfast was very good, but no hot foods without asking specially, and a bit high priced for what you get. The location is only a 15 minute walk from the beach, but there are no sidewalks so you have to walk along the edge of the pavement on a main road. The staff was very helpful in organizing day trips from the hotel.

Amazing location, 10 minutes walking from a calm and calm beach. The accommodation is easily accessible by bus from Corfu town and John was very kind and picked us up and dropped us up by car. There is also a nice garden, the facilities are great, and the apartment was overall very comfortable.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Convenient location, parking available, various cafes, restaurants, and a handy supermarket nearby. Vasilis was super responsive and helpful with great local tips. We would gladly choose to stay at this hotel again in the future.

The room was exceptionally clean and well arranged, Olga, the host was very friendly and kind. We really liked the fact that these apartments are like a hotel and they offer clean sheets and towels every other day. I would highly recommend Issos Studios.

A very nice and cosy familly hotel, very close to a lovely beach, Malibu Beach. Clean, quiet, a nice garden. Nikos and his familly were great hosts, helpfull and nice persons. Looking forward to come back next year for another beautiful vacation!

Close to the beach, the organization of the owners - very complete and expeditious explanations for everything in the room. The towels were changed every 2 days. The owners also keep sunbeds with umbrellas on the beach in front of the hotel.

Nice hosts and nice location. Small rooms but fully equipped (kitchen, bed, bathroom with shower). We had a scooter and it was easy to reach most places in South Corfu. Very cheap compared to other options. Would come again
