So, let me tell you about our recent getaway to South Male Atoll - it was like stepping into a postcard. From the second we landed, it was all about those island vibes and clear blue waters.
Our digs were top-notch, I'm talking overwater villas and cozy beachfront bungalows with views that made us never want to leave. And don't even get me started on the snorkeling and diving - we swam with manta rays and checked out some seriously cool coral reefs.
But it wasn't just about the underwater action. On land, we had spa days, tried all the water sports, and chowed some seriously fresh seafood. And let's not forget about the locals—they were so welcoming and friendly that it felt like we'd known them for years.
Long story short, South Male Atoll is the ultimate chill spot. Whether you're into relaxation or adventure, there's something here for everyone. We left feeling totally refreshed and already planning our next trip back.

Very well organised - you are taken care of as soon as you arrive until the security at the airport. You don’t lift a finger, luggage is collected/delivered. Transfer by boat was very efficient - excellent service

The place is amazing, the watter and everything you seen in the photos and videos is exactly the same or even more beautiful.
Thake care about the UV solar power, on our stay was maximum on the scale and a 50 spf is highly recommended as with 30 spf you will get burned and believe me is happening so fast 🤦🏻♂️
The temperature is quite constant and even during the night is very hot.
Seaplane transfer can be quite expensive.
Definitely worth visiting at least once in a lifetime!

The water bungalow experience was fabulous; stepping down the bungalow steps straight into the sea and the reef area for snorkelling was amazing. There was so much underwater life to see.
Although the bungalows were a little tired and the bed was not the comfiest, we loved the experience. As they are semi detached, pray you don’t get a noisy couple next door!
The sunsets were stunning.

We stayed at Adaaran Prestige Vadoo for eight days and could not wish for anything during our stay. We were assigned a butler, Mid Hun who helped us out with everything although we are not needy people he was there to assist with booking the restaurants and general day to day requirements such as extra cold drinks in the fridge.
The plunge pool in the Sunset villa is great as you can just relax looking out over the sea and watch the numerous fish which swim around and even see the dolphins first thing in the morning. We had surf shoes which were very useful due to the steps into the sea from the villa being a bit slippery and also walking around in the water as there a re large rocks.
The food at Adaaran is superb and a different menu each night along with a curry buffet. The food is a mixture of meat and vegetarian but there is also a lot of different seafood starters and main courses. There is a snack menu available in the main restaurant but you have to pay for items off of this and is it is identical to the Beach bar menu.
Overall we had a fantastic relaxing time and the amount of time we stayed was about right.

there is no house reef, so snorkelling was not as amazing as some islands with their own house reef. For us, this didnt detract from a perfect holiday!
the quality and choice of food was exceptional!

The Vellasaru experience starts from the point you come out of the airport to the point you hand your bags at the airline counter. It was amazing throughout.
The staff at the resort were extremely friendly. Breakfast was great. Room was spacious and clean. The island was really well maintained. And honestly we could not ask for more. Views were amazing, marine life was decent and plenty of activities to keep you busy for 5 days. My little one did not want to leave the island and wanted to buy a house in the Maldives 😀
We loved the place!! I would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to the Maldives. We have been to a few other resorts in the Maldives but this one is really special from the moment you arrive at the airport and threw all our stay. People are just so nice and attentive and they know about your needs even before you. Don't let me start about their restaurants, apart from the main one, the M6M (underwater restaurant) and the Traditions Indoceylon really swept us off our feet.
Everything is perfect
what most amazed me is the lagoon
the hotel has one of the best lagoons in the Maldives.
Wanna thank the duty manager Ahmmed for his excellence and professionalism toward his guests he really helped us in upgrading our room.
then I wanna thank our assigned butler Rajj for his speedy quick response and his lovely attitude, all around night and day he will available to serve and guide you.
the staff whom makes the resort the best hotel in the maldives
We were delighted with the hotel: the friendly staff, with whom you truly feel cared for during interactions, the diverse food and drinks - everything we tried was delicious! The rooms were clean and comfortable - we stayed in two different types of rooms: overwater villa and overwater villa with a pool - both were very pleasing. The hotel left a great impression on me, and we would happily return here more than once.
We loved everything about this hotel. Paradise island with white sand and turquoise water. Excellent staff who were professional and dedicated to making our stay perfect. Excellent choice of restaurants. The room was a very good size and beautifully decorated. We loved there were many excursions and activities offered too at this resort. We dived and got involved in coral planting. The resort was perfect !!
The service was exceptional. Staff were outstanding made us feel welcome every moment of our stay. Especially Mooz working on the beach bar, was amazing! A beyond expectations experience. Our Butler Shark organized our stay very nicely and was always available for last minute changes. Definitely coming again! The food was the best that we’ve ever had in a hotel. Absolutely amazing!
well , everything was on point . staff are amazing ( Reda , Ajay and Agra ) they were so nice and helpful and very very professional. food was amazing in everything single detail . I have been around in many resorts . but honestly they are different. they are exactly the meaning of how to be professional and friendly in the same time . Thank you guys . you made our vacation
- Hotel and room cleanliness
- Very efficient and caring staff, especially at Roxity kids club and Sessions restaurant.
- Many options and yummy food at the in-house restaurants and also in Crossroads Marina.
- Daily engaging activities
- Awesome people, everyone was smiling and so friendly! Kudos to the entire staff!
- Mesmerising views all around
Water bungalow was very comfortable, beautiful ocean view. enjoy sunrise and sundown from the balcony.
staff super friendly and helpful. good food. nice complimentary breakfast in the room. ocean view from the bathroom.
hotel staff went out of their way making a super fun new year’s eve party. everything very neat and clean.
The Island and Reef are just amazing to do snorkel. The ambiance is calm and slowlife. The hotel is not luxurious but everything you need, maintaining the essence of the island and nature, which is amazing. The food buffet has a lot of variety and every day the theme changes, amazing grill and pasta.
The resort is exceptional both nature-wise and facility wise. The beaches and lagoons are real paradise in all weather, even when cloudy and rainy. The staff is friendly and super-competent. The Crossroads Marina area with shops and restaurants is a very good addition to a luxury-lazy stay!
It was the best hotel experience in my life.
The staff and the attention is a 10 ( a one dedicated person for you the 24 hours). You will be feel like a King.
The Japanese restaurant is amazing
The general restaurant is very good gourmet food.
Perfect hotel to visit in maldives. Close to the airport. lot of restaurants and options. Breakfast was extraordinary. Many of free activities and a lot to do. staff are super friendly and coordinating.
Thank you Hard rock maldives
Amazing hotel with amazing staff! The hotel is beautiful and everybody is extremely attentive. We felt very well looked after and were impressed with the level of service and cleanliness.
The cleaning of the hotel rooms and public areas, changing the towels 2-3 times a day, the location of the hotel, its comfort, encountering the manta ray at night were my favorite parts.
