Royal Island Resort & Spa is located in Maldives’ Baa Atoll. This tropical Island overlooks the Indian Ocean and offers free Wi-Fi, a Spa and a peaceful white sandy beaches.
Milaidhoo Maldives is a boutique luxury resort in the UNESCO biosphere reserve, close to Hanifaru Bay. Its own coral reef is a protected area and noted as an outstanding snorkeling and diving site.
Beautiful Atoll and very kind local people. Many spots where to snorkel. The reef is full of life (beautiful marine species). A right place for fishing huge trevally, tuna, mahi-mahi, and baracuda (among other coral fishes)

I specifically chose Baa atoll as it is in the protected Biosphere that regulates fishing and any harmful practices to the underwater environment and coral reefs. It consists of a number of small individual islands as well as a number of "native" islands where locals live and maldivian culture can be experienced. It's also not too far from Male airport - just a short domestic flight and speedboat to the island.

Sadly, corals reef mostly deed.
Sadly, corals reef mostly deed.
However, there are still really many coral fish to watch if you like snorkeling. Beaches are good.
Clarity of water was a big mystery for me. It could change from "absolutely clear" to "milky" within 1.5-2 hours. Not sure what to blame for this: tide change or ash from islands rubbish burning plants. Visited two islands 15-20 min away from Dharavandhoo.
Saw many sharks from 0.5m babies to 3m

This was a very low key, relaxing experience.
This was a very low key, relaxing experience. Just what you want with a holiday getaway. Absolutely beautiful island. Water Villa room very nice, with snorkeling right out of the room. Boat trips $$$ were great to see dolphins, turtles, etc. Staff and food were great. However, we spent a lot of time trying to figure out what food and drinks were included in the all-inclusive deal, and what were extra. On "seafood night," I asked for a little half-pound lobster tail. Turned out to be US$73 extra. We went on a fishing trip, and they said the kitchen would cook what we caught. But that was a US$30 extra charge. Worst problem here is internet. The only place you can get internet is in the lobby. Wifi in bar and restaurant not functional. And if you want internet in your room it's a US$44+/day but basically doesn't work either. Seriously folks, it's 2023, not 1993!

The stay was magical.
The stay was magical. Where I come from, we don't have such amazing weather and environment. It was so relaxing and just what was needed. I needed 1-3 more days to have a full week. I only wish I had everything covered and not need to pay for any extras other than souvenirs.
Our butler Adu and the rest of the hotel staff were so welcoming, they did such a great job of making our stay extra special. Our villa was super comfortable and we had the most incredible sunset view from the terrace. We chose this resort in great part due to the dining options available, and the restaurants did not disappoint! We particularly loved Vakku and Onu. We enjoyed a very relaxing couples massage at the spa, but the really highlight were all of the activities, especially turtle snorkeling and snorkeling around the house reef.
We really enjoyed staying here. It was a good choice, and we met amazingly friendly people, experience that totally missed afterwards, when we went to an island resort.
In this place we found the possibility of experiencing more of Maldivian lifestyle, try local food, and got nice affordable trips for the sand banks and the coral garden.
We learned so much from the team of this hotel, they were so passionate about the beauty of the nature, and they were eager to share with us, we truly want to return someday.
From the great welcome upon landing (late in the evening), to the ease of going snorkeling and beach access. Good food, variety created by Rajesh (Indian culinary graduate, created excellent Indian vegetarian dishes) and accommodating restaurant manager Majed (?) -- who arranged a beautiful breakfast by the beach, quite restful area with shaded rooms. Water Villa had good amenities, but as we expected the waves created some noise at night. But still it was a very romantic water villa stay. The friendly staff.
First it was not that far from airport.
And also the vibe of the island was amazing.
Modern but also eco friendly place.
Staffs were really friendly and kind.
Hotel was also healthy friendly so we could have fresh and healthy food.
Room condition and also view was amazing.
Also it was small island so it was not many people so it was really private and chill.
it was really nice they have a bar with shisha too.
I really enjoyed our stay and had amazing experience.
We loved the villa, amenities, and amazing service from all the staff. We booked this hotel in part thanks to the Kids Club and it did not disappoint, the nannies were sweet and trustworthy. Our daughter had a wonderful time! We booked upon arrival full board, it was the best choice. The drinks menu for full board dining was really good, the food was delicious... the Villas are fabulous as well as the pool. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back.
Hello, we're writing this message to you from Morocco, sending to you the best wishes
We really enjoyed our vacation at the wonderful resort "Dhighufaru", especially when we met you "Moroccan couple" it was really good we did a lot of things like singing together, swimming..
The service at the hotel was very good, the nights parties were good too, everything was fine..
It really was a superb and marvelous experience..
Thank you for everything ❤️
Amazing villa over the water ! The service was extraordinary and I’d like to mention a few names: Maria, our hostess, was amazing taking care of every single detail for us; Bandula, the hotel manager, was extremely nice with us offering a lunch in the underwater restaurant; and last but not the least the Cooking chef who kindly shared with me a very good gluten-free recipe of pizza ….
Fabulous hotel, beautiful room, comfy bed , great shower and the location is perfect less than 5 minutes walk to the stunning beach with the reef metres of the beach with loads of fish . I saw dolphins off the beach . Waheed the manager arranged everything inc a snorkelling trip to see turtles. outstanding value highly recommended
Almost everything thing was perfect! The location, weather, atmosphere, cleanliness, facilities etc.., even mosquitoes weren't as bothersome as some suggested. You barely feel any, the staff was super cooperative and helpful, and when it rained the weather became even more beautiful! This place was almost a piece from paradise!
The resort is perfect for water activities, out of your room the reef is vibrant and full of life. Transfers are managed by the hotel and it was quite comfortable. The villa on the beach is amazing, the room face the sea equipped with 2 private long chairs. Food is also amazing.
The staff were very welcoming. Our flight wasn’t until later in the night & they allowed us to stay in the rooms despite checking out. This was a kind gesture. Many hotels would either charge you or would ask you to just wait in the reception area.
Everything is really cool! Nice hotel, nice location, nice staff. Relay is a cool guy, he can solve any problem.
The hotel is not a guest house, it's a real hotel with nice rooms, small garden and terrace.
Astonishing villa, mesmerizing sunset views oh wow.. lovely structures. The staff are the best, the butler acts as your account manager where he gets everything done even extending at special rates.
Extremely kind and helpful owners, beautiful rooms, good homemade cuisine, amazing trips from the guesthouse and great atmosphere inside the hotel. everything was perfect
