Very quiet and peaceful for the most part. Certainly a place to relax and recharge. The room was spacious, clean and well-appointed. Staff, were friendly, responsive and very helpful (in particular, Leah, the Manager of Guest Services). Little extras like complimentary snacks in the room was a nice touch.

Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott, Maui, hotel in Wailea

Experience the beauty of Hawaii at the Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott, Maui, which offers spectacular views of the ocean and nearby islands, complete with luxurious accommodations in a peaceful and...

Room: If you really wanted to be picky there was a few worn down things in the room, TV Counter was missing a small part of the side, which was visible, when entering. Balcony also has bare wood showing at then end under some glass that you also saw with a critical eye, but if that kind of thing bugs you, then you'd notice. The rest about the room was great. Had a new smart TV as well, that was great for a family movie night. Pool: The pools where nice and didn't seems chloride filled like a lot of other places, we've tried, which was really nice. There are an 18+ pool with great views and good service, but it could be a bit hard to get a spot there. The 2 pools that are open to everyone are nice, but definitely doesn't feel as luxurious. They are still really nice though. The place did however have a lot of "reserved" seatting, which had to be payed for. Specific seats, couches and the 21+ serenity pool all had to be reserved and payed for. Some reservations costing up to 800usd a day. If you really want some high end luxurious options and don't mind spending the money for it these seatting are great, but we didn't feel the need to use them and still enjoyed it a lot. View: Views were 10/10. Saw whales jumping in the ocean every single day.

Be VERY CAREFUL when you book at the Mana Kai...

Be VERY CAREFUL when you book at the Mana Kai... The units are split into two: the "a" side overlooks the beach, has a lanai, seating area etc. This is the picture they will show you when you book. The "b" side is a very small hotel room with NO seating whatsoever, NO lanai, and overlooks the parking lot. You will have to keep the blinds closed the entire duration of your stay as anyone walking by can look right in. Booking .com confirmed the "a" side, and Vacasa booked me into the "b" side. I only discovered this a week before my stay and contacted them immediately. I refused to stay in this tiny claustrophobic room and had to make alternate arrangements at the last minute. They have, so far, refused to refund my money.

I have been staying here since it opened.

I have been staying here since it opened. Rented 3 rooms for our family. I think the BS resort fees charged today are simply rip off fees. As much as I love this property, and I can afford it, they have priced themselfs to high and I will not be returing again. I had requested rooms close, 2 were, and the 3rd was way off. Spending what I did they could and should have accommodated me. Much advanced notice. Remodel is nice and beds are much more comfortable now. Should have replaced the noisy corridor tile without the grout lines. Very loud when people move their suitcases.

    We loved the area!

We loved the area! Amazing beaches, restaurants, shopping, and family activities/outings - so much to chose from. The owners provided everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was a bonus to have 2 full bathrooms. I especially enjoyed the early morning ocean view from the lanai to sit & enjoy my coffee in paradise!

Wailea was a great beach. It is large with soft golden sand.

Wailea was a great beach. It is large with soft golden sand. It’s exactly like I picture a beach should be. It never got too crowded and there was a small store that sold drinks, shaved ice and snacks. We drove here two of the four beach days we had. Our next trip we intend on staying close to Wailea.

We enjoyed the Gazebo Restaurant in Napili.

We enjoyed the Gazebo Restaurant in Napili. Also enjoyed Kihei Caffe and ate quite a few breakfasts there. Also 808 Grindz Cafe in Lahaina. We always go to Warren & Annabelle's Magic (and comedy) Show also in Lahaina. We have our own copy of Maui Revealed and were pleased that the most recent edition was in the condo, best Hawaii travel book, imo. We went whale watching with PacWhale Eco-Adventures which was wonderful but I would not recommend them for the Molokini Crater snorkeling adventure as we saw so little fish. The Reveal book states NOT to go to the center of the crater and that's exactly where PacWhale took us. We took a side trip to La Perouse Bay where we understand Bezos has a property - lucky him! We also enjoy going on a Costco run on the Islands - what an adventure that is! We also made a run to Wailuki to purchase the best Banana Bread on the planet at Julia's Best Banana Bread. That's all folks and thank you for letting me share!

We love the fabulous hospitality the Staff offered! We were supposed to fly home that day and our flight was delayed! They let us check our luggage in early and use the facilities until the room was ready! Fortunately they had the room ready very quickly. View of the pool and ocean, beautiful room! The poolside restaurant and staff were so friendly and accommodating! Wish we could of stayed more then one night! Which we almost did😂 This will be my new destination when visiting Maui.

Way too overpriced for what we got. A very old hotel room with 2 little and very uncomfortable beds, a tiny bathroom and just a minibar & coffee machine. Everything old and dusty. We checked in after 10pm and they couldn't find our reservation, the lady on the phone was very rude and helpless. We could only get into the room by 11.30pm thanks to a security guy who helped us. Visitors can only park in the 4th floor WITH NO ELEVATOR!!

I was surprised by the amount of complimentary sweet and savory local delights that were provided in this hotel. Among all (5 stars)Of the hotels and resorts I visited, this was the most generous of them all. I liked the quiet atmosphere due to the hotel's policy that it is only for adults. The hotel is located at a high altitude, I could see the beach and the other islands very clearly, which made me to take marvelous pictures.

Beautiful property in prime location on Maui. We were two minutes from the Shops at Wailea, nearly on the waterfront with easy access to beach. The serenity pool was awesome with incredible view of ocean. The staff at this resort were all amazing. Incredibly friendly, accommodating, and very professional. The Luau was absolutely amazing!! I’ve decided I will only stay at this resort when I travel to Maui.

It’s a beautiful resort, the pool area is great. We went in off peak season so was able to get a spot to sit by the pool each time. They have resort activities like yoga or paddle boarding (for free)! The food on-site is of great quality too. Staff are super attentive and helpful. Fairly convenient to get around and they have a complimentary car service for drops offs near by.

absolute beachfront location but privacy maintained (we were in first floor oceanfront suite). 24/7 reception was great - staff always friendly and helpful, a daily modest light breakfast was a much appreciated bonus! No restaurant/cafe on site, but very handy general store with basic hot food options next door (less than 5 mins walk away).

This hotel might be older with smaller rooms, but it is in a fabulous location, right on the beach. It is a nice little Sandy beach, great for swimming and boogie-boarding. We loved sitting on the beach, watching the whales breach, blow, and play. We say so many whales! amazing!

What can be better than a week on the beach in Wailea/Kihei area. Grounds at Ekahi are beautiful, units are private and quiet. Only 2 floors, so you feel you're really in Hawaii, rather than the big hotels with loud courtyards. We like the pool and easy access to the beach.
