We visited La Cala de Mijas in March so it was fairly quiet and the bars and restaurants closed quite early. It’s a pretty resort with quaint streets and not built up like neighbouring Fuengirola. The sea front is picturesque with an excellent beach. There are some lovely restaurants, we particularly liked Figaro and Bsweet, an excellent bakery, good for breakfast. The resort is well situated and not far from Marbella and Benalmádena, both accessible by bus or taxi.

Nice beach, good restaurants and children playgrounds available. Good starting point to 1 day trips like Granada, Ronda or Tarifa. Many shops. It is really recommended to visit Pueblo Mijas which is nearby - small white village in the mountains with beautiful narrow streets and many craft shops

I have always loved La Cala for its location, 30 mins from the airport and a quiet spanish village that is close to the busy bustling areas of Benalmadena or Puerto Banus should you wish to travel to them. Fantastic beaches and the boardwalk that runs down to cabopino is a lovely walk with bard and restaurants along the way.

The staff at breakfast, the pool, the spa, the cleaners, the wait staff at the clubhouse and tapas bar and reception were all incredible especially MariCarmen at breakfast. The hotel is cleaned every day to an impeccable standard. Pablo, Sylvia and all the spa staff are fantastic. So welcoming. The spa is such a lovely bonus. The hotel rates for the golf are excellent. The food is phenomenal, especially at the tapas bar. The pool is really nice. The golf course is challenging but good.
The apartment building is located very close to the beach and the centre of the town, which made it easy to get around. It’s not well connected through public transit, but it’s about a 20 minute walk from the main square. The property manager on site (Val) was very nice and helpful with detailed instructions on how to locate the building and the room. Additionally, a pool at the property was a great perk!
The apartment was bright and clean and was the perfect location for the beach and restaurants. Eli was very helpful and explained everything on our arrival. The first time we had been to La Cala de Mijas - it was a fabulous holiday made all the more enjoyable with Eli's assistance.
By a large margin this is the best rental we have had in 16 years of a weeks golfing in Spain
The Apartment was spotless, The finishes were high quality
Even the lift and underground Car Park were clean, you could smell the bleach in the lift in the mornings
Easy to check in and out. The apartment was modern and clean with a great view. Nice pools and not too busy. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Easy to get a taxi into town which has a great beach and loads of bars/restaurants.
The location was fantastic, in the heart of La Cala De Mijas The lady Emma was very pleasant and welcoming. Very clean, new and cosy apartment . Would go back to it again . Well done to Emma and Isabel. Mary Higgins
The view is excellent, and it.s a gated community, so it.s very quiet and safe, it is very clean, the kitchen is well equipped, the are extra pillows and the appartment is spacious, the wi.fi is very good
Great location .
Don't understand why they charge for parking. Costs should be built into the room rate. There was free parking nearby which might not be available in high season.
