Would thoroughy recommend the liquor room for cocktails and miller and carter for evening meal. Don’t stay at Mercure Telford City hotel though ….. have done so twice now with bad experience both times.

We came to attend an angling championship.
We came to attend an angling championship. The weather was exceptionally wet. Roads were closed and Ironbridge was flooded. We attended the competition and went home as soon as we could. We did revisit the Grazing Cow restaurant for our second evening meal. The food was good and a good atmosphere.

Birthplace of the industrial revolution, there are plenty of historical ruins and artifacts to see. Ironbridge is amazing considering when it was built. Multi museum pass is best value if you are staying for a couple of days. There are plenty of small villages to explore but be prepared for the narrow farm tracks if venturing off the main A roads.
Taxi’s are available in and around Telford but if you are travelling to a rural location such as Neenton (the Pheasant) you will need to contact a taxi firm such as 1st Choice Taxi’s in advance to make a firm booking. Uber services don’t Appear to be available once you are a few miles from Telford itself and mobile data is not always available.

Brilliant location with so many great attractions! Town park is fantastic and all free! We also visited the exotic zoo which was lovely too! So much to do in the area, we will return again and stay longer next time to fit more in!

We didn't really use Telford apart from the shopping center for essentials (plenty of options to choose from).
Ironbridge is lovely and the micropub is well worth a visit (The Coracle). Hoo Zoo was amazing as usual and Frankly Alpacas is well worth checking out as a new venture.
The staff was super friendly. The room was nice, clean, comfy. We loved our stay there. The breakfast was delicious. The price of the breakfast, especially for the kids, was very good value and gave us a good start of the day every morning. The kids also liked the small playground. There are a lot of great places to visit in the area (Ironbridge, Coalport Museum, dino world...). We stayed for 3 nights and we're planning to come back. Our daughter said "if you're going to rate the hotel, give them 100%"
Glenys is a lovely lady and host and made me feel very welcome. Full English breakfast was great and provided early in the morning as I needed to get away. She is very accommodating to help such as storing my bike in her garage.
The house is in a nice area and is charming. Parking right outside is very handy too.
Kettle and coffee in the room.
Decent price for area. Hotels in Telford are surprisingly expensive.
The staff are exceptional, sorting out any issues quickly and being engaging and accommodating. The included breakfast is very good, and it represents great value for money if you don't need to be in Telford centre. The internet connection is also very good - I was able to conduct an on-line session with 6 remote people with no issues, which is rare for free (or even paid) internet in even mainstream hotels.
Lovely room with stunning views. Super comfy bed, haven’t slept so well in ages!
Great breakfast, couldn’t complain about anything.
Absolutely loved the spa facilities. Really good sized pool and it wasn’t at all crowded so I could enjoy a nice peaceful swim.
Great location, short taxi ride to both the centre of Telford and Ironbridge.
This hotel is a little gem and we’ll definitely be back 😃
Met 2 members of staff at the front desk. Both wonderful - friendly and helpful.
Excellent location for Wales Comicon : Telford Takeover, at Telford International Centre - a little further away than the 2 hotels right next to TIC, but definitely within an easy walking distance.
Bath + shower facilities, and decent sized T.V. (big enough to watch from bed)
The rooms were amazing, very spacious, clean and homey - absolutely faultless.
Location is fine, it’s in a rather secluded areas, about 20 minutes car journey to Telford city centre.
The whole building itself is stunning, the decor is beautiful and the gardens are lovely and peaceful.
staff were excellent, so polite, friendly and very helpful.
Very good location - just next to the Telford International Centre and the park. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. A huge shopping mall and restaurants nearby - 5 min easy walk. An ASDA hypermarket at about 10 min easy walk. A bus station nearby, connecting the hotel to the Telford Central Railway Station.
We usually stay at the Ramada hotel just over the road, but glad we didn't on this occasion, it was excellent and guaranteed to be open at Christmas so no need to go to another hotel due to low occupancy, really enjoyed the gym, room very comfortable, just the shower a let down
Lovely freshly cooked breakfast with unlimited coffee & juice. The evening meal was particularly good & the waitress was really friendly. Room was small but clean & comfortable. This was our second stay & it’s so much nicer than somewhere like the premier inn.
Rob and Jackie, both exceptional
2nd visit here, standards just as high as before
Made to feel very welcome
Rooms comfortable
Breakfast delicious
Dinner available in bar area, worth eating there
Will definitely be returning
I love the amenities and bar service. All of the staff are knowledgeable of not just one area, they can work in two different departments in one shift which I find is really amazing! Kudos to the team. 5 stars for all.
Room clean, bed comfy, plenty of pillows. Good breakfast, plenty to fill grown men and teenage boys.
Fantastic town park beyond the hotel grounds, staff very helpful with giving directions to access the park.
The grounds were beautiful, the breakfast was amazing quality and choice. Overall excellent value. The room was clean and comfortable. It was close to ironbridge & Telford. We had a really lovely stay.
The member of staff who welcomed me and booked me in was very friendly and welcoming. The location was ideal, with ample parking, a Starbucks and Burger King adjacent to the hotel.
