Location, As we travelled with a baby they prepared baby food upon request.
Dinners and breakfast are good.

Location was outstanding. Also, I read reviews about the food being the same every day. I’m here to tell you that although there were staples every day, you are able to eat different things if you wanted to. There was even self serve champagne on Sunday morning. Stellar all around.
Drinks were not included for dinner but it was reasonably priced. 2 cokes for 6 € and a bottle of water (enough for 2 people) was 2.5 €.
Also, I didn’t feel pressured to tip like we were at every meal/drink at an all inclusive in Mexico.
Pools are ideal for non-swimmers. 1.4m, 1.2m and one where the depth goes from 0.9 to 1.4 meters.
This extensive holiday complex offers spacious bungalow accommodations in the heart of Playa del Inglés, just a short distance from the amazing beaches of southern Gran Canaria.

Relaxed and informal resort with lots of places to eat at various price levels and plenty of bars ranging from pubs to swish cocktail bars.
Clientele is mixed British/European with a large LGBT community.
It is not a pretty resort - pretty much everything is concrete but softened by lots of trees. Many places are in unattractive concrete shopping centres dating back to the 1980s.
Prices are generally good and get better if you head up to San Fernando in the Spanish speaking part of town where there are lots more lovely restaurants and big supermarkets.
Everywhere is very easy to walk and the resort is on a slight incline down to the sea.
There is an excellent bus service which takes you around the island for just a few euros and is definitely worth exploring.
Walk along the seafront to San Agustin is recommended and there are some high end shops in the Faro (lighthouse) area of town which is about 15 minutes bus ride away.

Mostly purpose built for tourism so there's plenty of accommodation available - shop around. Ample bars, restaurants, many with entertainment at night. You could just stay in PDI but I'd recommend renting a car and go visit other towns and villages around the island - there are some real gems, such as Agaete, Teror, Puerto de Mogan, Charco de la Aldea, to name a few.

Near to shops and restaurants and bars.
Near to shops and restaurants and bars. Only complaint we had was that the footpaths were dangerous. The pavements were shiny and slippery (in the dry weather), in some places they were uneven and I saw a lady slip and fall.

Playa del Ingles: you either love it or hate it.
Playa del Ingles: you either love it or hate it. We are somewhere in between: it is useful that there are all kinds of facilities, but it is far from authentic, everything is made for tourists, only tourists stay there, to find an original 'local' you have to search for a long time . On the other hand, it is a sunny place and a good base for going inland, towards the mountains and canyons of San Bartelomé, Santa Lucia, Roque Nublo, etc.

South of the island is mainly resorts and holiday apartments, so if you are planning to mainly spend time on the beach or by the pool, then this area is great. There are good transportation links to the airport and other parts of the island if you want to explore more of the island. Yumbo Centre is a great destination of LGBT travelers, with a lot of bars, clubs and sex venues.

Plenty to do , always had great weather... had friends and relatives in other islands at the same time and they experienced cloudy weather whilst we had sun.

Explore guest reviews of hotels in Playa del Ingles
As other reviews have stated the food is great. Sometimes with all inclusive it can be a gamble but rest assured there's tasty food options for all including a nice salad bar. The staff are friendly and location is perfect. The beds are also very comfortable and the hotel is pleasantly clean. I've stayed in others in Gran Canária and hopefully if we come back we will be using the Abora Catalina again.
Well positioned in Playa del ingles, helpful and friendly staff behind the counter.. very clean throughout. This was a stop gap one night stay (in a private triple room with own bathroom in the hostel).. ahead of our weeklong hotel stay elsewhere and I honestly couldn’t fault it for excellent value for money. Great authentic Italian coffee shop directly across the way for the morning too:)
Everything about the place - staff, food & drink, facilities, entertainment, location - was fabulous. Everyone worked so hard to provide an exceptional experience - nothing was too much bother. 24/7 all inclusive meant exactly that. And to cap it all, the hotel is just a 3 minute walk from the airport bus that charges just 3.50 Eur pp each way. Will definitely return.
it was a lovely hotel in a nice location. Ideal if you want to be in a less touristy place than the heart of Playa Del Ingles. The food was ok but not always hot enough for our liking. That said the staff always made sure there was all choices available for the day. The room was lovely with a great sea view. Room was very clean with all necessary facilities.
This hotel does not have restaurant so there is no option breakfast or dinner, Hotel is nice and clean lovely garden and swimming poole, threre is about 10 minutes from Yumbo and 15 minutes from Playa Del Ingles beach, Hotel is close to the market and restaurant and bus stops only 2 min. And there is on busy road but is very quiet during the night
The best hotel in Playa. Kindness from all the staff (it is now a rare thing in hotels in Playa del Ingles), and when I asked for a reservation change they were all available in a short time. in particular thanks to LUIS at the reception who was quick, clear and professional in helping me, a true professional.
Very big old hotel middle of Playa del Ingles city center. Short way to beach and strand way.
Room was comfortable, big and new style. From balcony sea and city view up level room.
Lot of program of pool. Music stop early evening. Quiet location.
Good and variety buffet food. And Cava at breakfest.
The property was right on the beach and within one block or less to many restaurants and supermarkets. The property management was outstanding and made our stay very comfortable and pleasant! Inside the apartment, you’ll find all the amenities from towels, utensils and a washing machine.
Great facilities and design, comfy bed & large room, food & drinks, friendly animation team with a lot of activities - especially aqua gym was amazing!, central location close to beach and shops.
The hotel followed corona regulations strictly and it made our vacation safer.
This place was close to the dunes of Maspalomas and fairly close to the Playa del Ingles. The balcony with table was a nice place to sit in the evenings. There is a shop just 10 meters from the hotel where you can buy food and drinks, shampoos, even clothes and slippers.
Breakfast was excellent. Great selection of hot and cold food. Pastries etc. Great coffee.
Omelettes etc made to order.
Hotel is in a fab location next to Yumbo centre which is what I wanted. Even though it was so close it was very quiet at night.
the property was very close to the dunes and walking distance 10min to playa del ingles and around 25min walk to masmalomas beach very quiet location, green, lots of flowers, very clean and warm water in the pool. the service was great , helpful and kind :)
Amazing place- well equipped, cozy, bgood location, staff was really friendly and helpful. I've been in 3 accomodations in Gran Canaria and Happy Home Premium was the absolute favourite - they even have some toys for kids. Definitely will go back ♥️
Good place for staying in playa del ingles. Free parking spots available on street (at least in November when the city seems not to be that crowded), spacious apartments, old furniture and but clean and good for the price
Nice spacious apartament, basic, but comfortable. Well equipped kichen,
Hot water never ending (unlike other apartaments I stayed in in gran canaria),
FREE WIFI (unlike other offers in Playa del Ingles)
Spacious balcony
The Hotel Apartments have a pleasant view over Playa del Ingles and is Central for entertainment and restaurants. The rooms are a decent size and a late check in was not a problem. The swimming pool is excellent.
