The undisputed Tenerife party capital, Playa de las Américas is a year-round resort of sun, sand and sizzling nightlife. At the foot of volcanic mountains stretching up to Mount Teide, its long beach is comprised of imported golden sand. Tenerife’s natural beaches – such as that in northern Puerto de la Cruz – are actually black sand.
Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje neighbouring Playa de las Américas also have golden beaches, and all are lapped by warm, turquoise waters. Watersports are a popular activity, and the area boasts Siam Park with its hair-raising waterslides, rapids and a host of swimming pools. There’s even a wave pool where you can surf!
Outdoor pools are also found in the Playa de las Américas accommodation on Booking.com, including 5-star resorts, cheap hotels and self-catering apartments. Aqualand has yet more flumes and pools, as well as a dolphinarium.
Dolphins and whales can also be spotted from boat trips along the coast. Other activities include Golf Las Américas, the Canaries’ largest golf course.
However, it’s what happens after dark that’s the biggest draw. The Patch complex has family-friendly bars with food, while the bars, clubs and casinos of the Starco shopping centre and Verónicas strip only really kick in at after midnight.

Touristy but very good promenade for walking.
Touristy but very good promenade for walking. Quiet at night. Beach near Parque Santiago III not suitable for swimming, good for surfing. Not normally my choice of destination but enjoyed the hotel pool, garden, room and location.

I have been visiting the Island for over 30 years and I have never had a bad visit.
Siam Park is a must!!!!
Best bar is the Brahms and Liszt on the Parque de la paz strip fabulous place with the best staff on the island
Best restaurants are Little Italy Pompeii, Vegas grill and Pier 8.
The only issue now with Tenerife is the taxis from the airport as the queues now are ridiculous.

We normally stay in Adeje but because of the steep hills that are unavoidable decided to try Las Americas. We were last there in the 90s and were pleasantly surprised how upmarket it has become. Obviously lots of investment has been made and we have rebooked our holiday for next year.

for a Nordic person, tired of sunless days Playa de las Americas is the perfect destination even in the month of February!
Several perfect sandy or rocky beaches, walking distance form one each other....The place is filled with nice restaurants, bars and terraces;
The location is a paradise for family and non-kids alike!
As a family we spent also amazing times with kids in both water parks available (free busses to the location) zoo and delfinario!

We always stay at cleopatra Palace or sir anthony because they are in the nicest bit of las americas right beside the musical fountains with excellent restaurants and shops. We eat in Bianco, taipan, empire and Thai . I book online with venture (download app) before we travel as they are very popular and excellent quality. Our favourite bar is Magic , in front of cleopatra and next to hard Rock Cafe.the beach in front of hotel is beautiful soft sand. Harry's bar is usually mobbed and too expensive but it is a prime spot overlooking fountain. We book bed &Breakfast at hotel because restaurants outside are unmissable.

This resort has changed enormously since a short visit 30 years ago and I must say it probably has ‘something for everyone’ as the cafes, restaurants and shops seem to cater for all requirements. From up market clothing stores in gorgeous complexes not out of place in Dubai, Paris or London to neighbourhood ‘touristy’ neighbourhood style mini markets, they’re all here. More restaurants than you can shake a stick at, our favourite pastime was strolling the incredibly long seaside walk and stopping for a while in the sun for a coffee, beer and pastry.

The apartment complex is right in front of playa de las americas, a dreamy sandy beach. All that’s needed can be found within a few feet. There are over 150 restaurants within 500m radius and numerous stores. The apartment is cute and functional with everything that a family needs for a comfortable stay. Kids pools ate equipped with slides. The complex with its many colorful flowers, magnificent palma trees and parrots chirping and chatting from their tops is soothing for the eyes. Our host Kathe was friendly and helpful.
Columbus gets a lot of bad reviews online but this seems to be from people wanting a 5 star stay after paying for a 3 star trip. The hotel is more than enough if your wanting a cheaper trip to Tenerife. Clean, friendly staff and central to most things you need in Las Americas. Been 3 or 4 times now self catering and would return if i was going for a cheaper break in the future. I would say its aimed at more the 18-35 year old market but did see young families and older folk there enjoying themselves also.
The apartment was well-maintained, spacious, and had stunning views of the ocean. The location was perfect, with easy access to the beach, restaurants, grocery stores and nightclubs. The host, Finke, provided exceptional service and was really friendly and helpful, and I liked that he's truly in love with Tenerife. The value for money was fantastic, I highly recommend these apartments to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable getaway.
lovely property close to all amenities, as you leave the hotel turn left for the club life or right for the more sedate nice meals. Staff are all lovely very helpful and attentive. Rooms are spacious and each one has a balcony. Food has plenty of variety and is very nice, some dishes cooked infront of you. We were all inclusive, breakfast, lunch and tea are all different choices.
Impeccable location in the best location on the south coast of Tenerife. The staff are professional and extremely friendly, the food (breakfast and dinner) is plentiful and varied, with live music. The hotel as a whole and the rooms were clean, everywhere was constantly cleaned and tidy from the pool to the restaurant and bar to our room.
We stayed all inclusive at the H10. Our room was a junior suite modern & very clean equipped with a coffee machine tv mini fridge ect. The hotel lobby & pool and surrounding areas were also modern and kept extremely clean which was fantastic. The location was great 1 minute walk away from lots of restaurants and the beach.
Comfortable bed and a quiet room. Lots of storage cabinets. Nice to have a work desk too. The buffet breakfast was really good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Checking in and checking out was easy and fast.
There are lots of stores and restaurants close to the hotel. And the beach is a fairly short walk too.
This is second time we stayed in this hotel. The location is amazing! The hotel is situated right on the beach with loads of shops and restaurants beside it. Pool area with renovated bar are really nice too.
All staff members are extremely helpful and really friendly.
Alessandro, the host, was super nice with us both regards the accommodation and useful tips about the island. El Cardon has a perfect location since it is a 2min walk to Playa de Las Americas, one of the best night life of Tenerife.
The apartment has most things you would need for a home from home holiday. In a central location to playa de las Americas and Costa adeje, it was clean and modern. The host was just a call away and communication was excellent.
We had an incredible experience renting this apartment in Las Americas, Tenerife with five of my friends.
The location of the apartment was ideal, with numerous restaurants, shops, and attractions within walking distance.
Everyday hotel organised activities that were engaging and different, cleanliness was really good, nice pool area with bar and sun beds, dinner had various themes that changed daily,
Location was great, with pathway to the beach. Food was good, normal as you would expect in all inclusive. Wide range of alcohol included. Nice looking hotel.
Breakfast and dinner spreads were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was spotless. Entertainment in the evening was very good
