It is hard to give a true reflection of Cala d' Or as it was out of season which was surprisingly quiet. Everything was closed in the Week that we visited (19th - 22nd December) We are going to return in April 2024

Some restaurants are really good (we've been in several different ones)! Most restaurants and bars are in "down town" where are running sounding parties. For vacationers which love quietness it's to recommend searching for outlying hotel.VolkerGermany - 10Scored 10

Very family friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Lots of nice restaurants - we had a great evening in Cafe Fernando, very tasty food & live music. Lovely down at the marina, definitely recommend a visit it down there to look around the boats and also for an evening meal / drinks - we ate at S’ancora & it was fantastic, had drinks in YaYa and the food looked good there too. We tried to get the mini train a few times. The first time it didn’t turn up we checked the QR code & it was out of service, then another couple of times it just didn’t show 😞

Nice resort,Very busy and restaurants of high quality are few. Soy is a great restaurant if you like asian food, particularly their Japanese offerings which were superb and the staff were great. Safe to walk around, many pedestrian areas sandlots of shops and good supermarkets. It's a lovely place which I have visited many times but it does seem to be veering towards one of those resorts which is changing with lots of pretty low level bars and restaurants which it didn't used to have in years gone by.STEPHENUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Drach Caves were enjoyable, only tour done. Beaches were near hotel, but small strips between peninsulas, parking at Esmerelda easy, but not for Cala Gran. Port area has some really nice restaurant's there, but we were not disappointed with any meals we had in Cala D'Or Centre or the Port area, but we researched well beforehand. The Centre has more selection, mostly bars, Port is likely to have better restaurants though, book in advance though, each night in Port area, people were being turned away as places were booked out, easy to book online as well for most, Port/Centre.AdrianIreland - 6.0Scored 6.0

Area around and along the coast can be reached by bicycle. Otherwise the resort is very "touristic" and beaches are overcrowded. Make sure you choose "Only adults" -hotel if you would like to use the pool for swimming. Otherwise they will be filled with families playing with their kids.KariFinland

Hotel located not so far away from Cala Egos Beach , though we used it only twice because of jellyfish . On the other hands Cala mondrago is only 8 minutes to drive and the bus is driving there every 15-30 minutes. Shops and restaurant is very close to the hotel. Swimming pool for adults and the small one for the children. Parking places all around the hotel and there were no problem to find the free place.AlexanderDenmark

All members of the staff were very friendly and the location of the hotel was very convenient to take public buses (5 min walk) to other beaches or to visit the Saturday market in Santanyí. The beach, although small, was excellent for swimming and snorkeling. The food was good as well as the beverages (we paid the all inclusive fare and we think it was a good idea). We read some reviews complaining about the WiFi, but we didn't have any issues with that.

The breakfast was superb, full of high-quality, healthy, fresh and local ingredients. The pool area was very quiet. Note that there is another 'hidden' pool next to the gym, which we enjoyed more than the big one. We also enjoyed watching the sunset from the sky-bar. It was really beautiful. Don't miss it out. Lastly, it was very easy to find parking next to the hotel.

The whole resort is for french people, they speak English but all the shows are in french language. The parking is free in front of the hotel and there are some shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood. I will recommend to choose a room with view or at least to the upper floor.IstvánHungary

We rented an apartment which had a small backyard/patio where we used to have breakfast every morning. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal and snacks to pack for your beach day. No air conditioning either. More than a dozen cats are also roaming free around the grounds. The near by town is very nice with shops and restaurants. We left the hotel and drove back to Palma after securing a room on a very short notice and had to pay $300 for one night stay. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
