Marina was quiet in March but in the summer I imagine it could be hectic. Large selection of restaurants, all similar menus and prices. However the service and food was good in the few we went to. Plenty of staff

Vilamoura is a nice resort, we had not been there before, most activity at night is centred at the marina, where there are loads of restuarants and bars to suit everyone. Beach was lovely I would go back again, but definitley not to the apartment we stayed in , the apartment itself was fine but not the location or the very old run down building it was in. I would not recommend it to anyone .

Great location with fantastic restaurants around the Marina and the streets behind. Easy to walk everywhere, plenty of shops and supermarkets in addition to local businesses. We loved the atmosphere and the warm welcome in bars and restaurants. Weather was constantly warm and sunny, average 26 degrees for 1st 2 weeks in October. I Cesteiro fish restaurant were we had turbot as a favourite, along with The Fisherman’s Shack, Rodizio & Sal & Fogo, all amazing food and service

I have stayed in Vilamoura many times and simply love the place and its vibrancy, great restaurants and bars. I would personally recommend one bar especially to visit and that is Als Bar a very high standard and great drinks with stunning bar area with a superb host namely Al. This bar is just off the Marina behind the road where the taxi rank is situated in a square with 4 restaurants in the vicinity.

Vilamoura is picturesque.
Vilamoura is picturesque. A marina surrounded by lots of places for socialising ie restaurants, bars, coffee, ice cream, shops etc. It also has a beautiful long sandy beach, as found in many Portuguese resorts. There are all types of accommodation available from 5 start hotels to Air B&B etc. I would say this resort is a little more expensive (to eat out etc) than other resorts in the Algarve. It’s very easy to get around on foot, plenty of taxis too if required. This was my 2nd visit to Villamoura. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and might consider going back, but, it would not be my (personal) first choice of resorts in Algarve.

Vilamoura was a huge let down, it is Blackpool in the Sun, full of rowdy gangs of English men and women. Noise going on to 6am , lots of disgusting drunk people from early in the day
Some good restuarants
Lovely apartment in a great area of Vilamoura Marina. Great service from the VAP Team. Very helpful before we arrived, when we arrived and during our time in the apartment and area. Felt very secure and safe. Used the associated News restaurant as well, which was also very good, great service and excellent food. Vilamoura Marina is a top area with lots of lovely restaurants and great bars. The apartment also had access to a lovely private swimming pool and garden area which overlooked the marina.
This hotel is just amazing. We stayed at the apartment with 2 bedrooms and a terrace and it was fenomenal. The staff is just so professional and at the same time so kind you feel at home. Although the hotel was almost full , you feel like you are almost alone. Everything is so calm and the atmosphere is just amazing. The restaurant at the beach has excellent food. Don't miss it.
Walking distance to the beach this is the perfect spot to go. They have a 5 star service in a 4 star hotel.
Everything was amazing but the customer service is the best ever – it is first class! They could not do more to help us enjoy our stay and make it unforgettable. It is an extremely clean, beautiful, comfortable and luxurious hotel, we had such a great time, can't wait to visit again soon! The shuttle bus to Marina is very convenient and the drivers make the journeys enjoyable.
A perfect and relaxing place to have a holiday! Truly recommended!
Loved the location, close to Vilamoura Marina, Quarteira and Falésia Beaches by half hour walk, or 6 min car or short taxi trip. The pool area is lovely, with plenty of chairs and sun-beds. The pool itself is very deep and may not be suitable for non-swimmers or young children. We loved it though, good to be able to dive in.
We have stayed in a couple of the hotels in Vilamoura but this is by far the best for location, value for money and friendliness.
The reception staff were really good and it is nice to be able to keep your room on for a reasonable price on the day of departure
Apartment was beautiful, clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our weeks stay. The old village has lovely gardens, three pools and bars and restaurants it is also only 15 minutes walk from the lovely Marina. I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is very well decorated, all the amenities excellent. The staff super nice. There are free bikes and vallet parking.
The food is also awesome.
Truly one of my best stays in Algarve, and I'm Portuguese so I go quite often :)
We loved everything about the hotel, location so close to everything around villamoura marina, the breakfast had so much choice and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Overall absolutely fantastic we will be coming back.
Excellent location. Something for everyone. In front of the beach, close to restaurants and marina- walking distance. Marina has lots of restaurants. Walking distance to casino. Wonderful breakfast package at hotel.
Proximity to the Marina was the main reason for choosing Vila Gale Marina. It was centrally located for it and the beach. We loved the morning breakfast! Also the view from the balcony was gorgeous!
Great location next to the beach and a short walk to the marina. Lovely hotel with spacious rooms and very clean. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. Best breakfast ever!
Great selection for breakfast. Staff were very attentive and went out of their way to serve you. The location is ideal marina on one side and beach on the other side of hotel.
