Good place to transit after arriving from the ferry in Picton. Several places to eat as a good sized town. Ate in Bamboo Garden (5 minutes walk) as had been recommended to us by people on the ferry. Food was excellent.

We stayed 3 nights in Blenheim in February.
We stayed 3 nights in Blenheim in February. The city itself is not too big but cosy. There are some beautiful parks and gardens. Breathtaking mountains views. Runway cafe on the way to Blenheim airport was quite nice. Food was delicious. Most of the time we spent exploring nearby areas. A lot of good wineries around for degustation and lunch. We travelled to Picton ( 30 min by car). Had a cruise there. Plenty of cafes on the waterfront. Visited the impressive Omaka aviation heritage centre. "Muscles pot" restaurant in Havelock was nice. Would be great if we had at least one more day to visit more places in the Marlborough region.

Opted not to hire car which I would probably change when visiting again although we did manage with walking to city centre and and utilising shuttles to get out to Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre. Omaka is an absolute jewell. We were here for Garden Raupara Springs so transport otherwise not an issue for us. We were close to a Countdown and Bamboo Garden Restaurant which was fabulous and we also visited a Japanese Restaurant. Had our wine tasting at the gardens so did not visit winery; we come from West Auckland also a hub of wineries so we were happy with just the tasting at the garden event. The shuttle who took us to Omaka was happy for just a pick up call and then took us to a garden centre for a quick look around. Very obliging! Of course I bought a plant and took it back to Auckland. Thanks for a lovely stay, can't recommend Blenheim enough!

we were there for the bianual aviation easter show.
Amazing good.
The Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre is a world-class museum showcasing WW1 and WW2 aircraft and artefacts
We combine it with a day driving in thewineries and dining at a winery.
From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left (sadly), everything was just truly wonderful. The owners are lovely people and gave us great ideas for places to eat, etc.
The studio (studio 5) was deathly quiet, couldn't believe it as the motel is on a fairly busy road. It contained all the essentials for our 2 night stay, was very stylishly decorated with a small private outdoor area. We would thoroughly recommend this incredible place if you are passing through Blenheim.
We stayed in the Ocean View Beachfront apartement for two nights, which was an amazing experience!
The rooms are luxury, nice and cosy, the view is breathtaking and the kitchen/fridge contains everything needed.
Mel (+Maugli and Scrappy) are really lovely friendly hosts.
Don't make the mistake and stay directly in Blenheim, stay in Ocean Beachfront, it is worth every minute
We'll be back!
The welcome was very friendly. We were fortunate to receive an upgrade which was much appreciated. The room was well cleaned and offered plenty of space for us to relax. Loved the quiet music playing during the day in the hallways. We would definitely return for a repeat of that experience and to enjoy a Chateau Marlborough stay!
We're always dubious of ratings as we've been caught out in motels with unwarranted high ratings before, but we're happy to recommend Phoenix as a top stay. The attention to the small details that make a great stay was superb and we couldn't find a single fault. We will be using Phoenix as our Blenheim accommodation from now on.
This is a true B&B (not "lodge"). It is well-located in the middle of the wine district with a vineyard view from the bedroom window. Continental breakfast was excellent. Owner was very accommodating, opening up her kitchen to us even for our use at dinner-time if we chose.
We loved the location….so close to the Winery properties. We especially loved the field (populated by two heifers, a flock of sheep and even a hawk) behind this home. Such a peaceful and relaxing view. Would definitely recommend this property and its attentive hosts.
Centrally located and modern hotel. We stayed in the new wing so our room was very new, it was also spotlessly clean and a generous size. The king bed was amazing, very comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Good facilities onsite. Would stay again.
Great Motel that we have stayed in twice before, and each time it has met our needs. The owner is lovely, and always helpful. The location is super easy, and central to everything we need in Blenheim.
Great hosts….great location in town. Lovely property with all of the amenities we could ask for. Comfortable beds. Spacious rooms. Wonderful bathrooms. Highly recommend this intimate hotel.
Clean with great parking and very well appointed rooms, not far from central Blenheim (10min drive) very much a family style motel. Has a pool and there is a supermarket across the road
loved my stay !! great setting !! well equiped and so lovely to have a pet friendly place when travelling with my elderly dog :-) thank you for being so accomadating :-)
Everything was great... needed accommodation between airport and vineyard for family occasion. Property was found lovely clean and tidy. Better than expected.
