Queenstown was amazing and our accommodation at Platinum Villas was fantastic!
We took a cruise to Doubtful Sound with Real Journeys NZ and all staff were professional, friendly and efficient. My father left his wallet on the cruise and they found it! He was so grateful....
We had a very bad experience though at Paradise, Glenorchy. The Manager is a woman by the name of Alice, she initially allowed us to walk around the grounds (I asked her when we arrived) but then she DEMANDED we leave the premises because in her opinion we walked too close to the accommodation. It was the most embarrassing and humiliating experience I have ever had, my elderly parents who were visiting from South Africa were shocked. There was absolutely no need to be so unprofessional and we feel she may need anger management training not to mention and intensive customer service course.
Friends had been married at this location a year ago and we revisited to show my parents what a lovely place it was. We will NEVER visit again :(

Crowded, touristy, beautiful, all the things that everybody knows about Queenstown are true. But nice to have what tourists need crowded into a small downtown. Traffic in and out is a small nightmare, which surprised me.

Queenstown is fabulous all year round. World class.
Queenstown is fabulous all year round. World class. I have been before but this time came in Autumn. The colours were beautiful and we were blessed with clear sunny days. Loads to do, great restaurants and bars, young vibrant nightlife. Throughly recommend a visit. Be aware that there are steep streets and getting around on foot can be tiring. Check the location of your hotel carefully.
The location is in central Queenstown, just a short walk/drive away from the town center and lakefront. There is a free carpark beside the hotel, but lots are limited. Room was a little cosy, but it was new and clean and had everything we needed for the one night we stayed. There's a rooftop lounge area with a great view of the lake. The highlight is the service from the staff and the amenities - there is a free hot drinks machine on every floor, which was very welcomed. Would highly recommend this hotel for couples in Queenstown.
The hotel is 10 min from airport and 10 min from Town centre, free shuttle every our to the centre. Everything was good about the hotel, amazing view , quiet location, good breakfast, very helpful, friendly and polite staff , in our 3 bedroom apartment we’ve got washing and drying machines that really helped us. We enjoyed the terrace and sitting hall with fire place, beds are comfortable, very clean overall
The location is suitable, although there's a little difficult to find. You could go the city centre or views in Queenstown convenient.Living room is communal and provide wine and snacks, also sofa is comfortable. Both living roomand my bedroom has lake view,I feel very nice because they give us that room. The milk they provide is delicious, bed has heater when you feel cold in sleep.
I liked the view from the restaurant - very peaceful, sauna facility, friendliness of most staff, accessibility of transport - ferry from hotel to town centre, overall good value for money (considering Queenstown can be very expensive), restaurant + breakfast buffet, air conditioning in the room - without it it would've been incredibly hot.
Amazing experience! My partner and I love Queenstown. We traveled from Dunedin for a secret elopement. Everything was great. Beautiful place to stay and just a short walk to the Queenstown centre. When we checked out the lovely woman behind the desk congratulated us and gifted us a bottle of bubbles. We will be back :)
My family and I ( 7 adults ) all loved our stay at the Bonailie Bothy .The house was situated well with stunning views. The amenities are of a very high standard and we all enjoyed a great nights sleep after our busy days sightseeing. I highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to stay in Queenstown.
Really modern and clean, great location just a short walk from the centre of Queenstown. Staff were super helpful and friendly. This is a perfect base for a stay in Queenstown. The room is compact but perfect for what we needed. Loved the vending machine for hot drinks - hot chocolate is the best!
This is a unique, boutique style hotel. Small, with a homely feel to it, and decorated to a high standard. The location is great, close to town, and easy to walk into Queenstown centre. Access to free NZ products (like soft drinks and chocolate) was a really nice touch.
The resort is gorgeous, food at the restaurant is lovely, the service at the Spa is terrific, we had an amazing 1 hour couples massage. Access to the water taxi is a super cheap and convenient way to get to the heart of Queenstown for some shopping or restaurants.
It was something cheap and central, which is rare in Queenstown.. relatively transient movement with no real meaningfully exchanges other than to talk about places visited... and not much location for that, or at least i didn't know about one.
The bed was comfortable. The room was spacious. The hotel was relatively close to the centre of queenstown. The staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't try the breakfast but the views from the breakfast room was incredible.
Great location, 5 minutes walk into Queenstown central, there is a steep hill to climb but very manageable ! Hotel room was exceptionally clean I could not fault a thing ! The view is awesome
It was the cheapest place available outside of a hostel. I shared a unit with a family. We had our separate bedrooms, but shared bathroom and kitchen/common areas.
The location of the hotel was great - extremely central to all of Queenstown and the view is breathtaking. The staff were always very friendly and efficient.
