Westport is a lovely funky little town with a museum and great spots to eat and meander about. If you're going to Westport - be sure to take in Cape Foul Wind - beautiful walkways and as true a rough rugged West Coast experience as you will get.

Westport has a lot to offer and one day was not enough.
Westport has a lot to offer and one day was not enough. There is really a lot to do and see and explore in this area. We went to Denniston Mine, walked on the Kawatiri trail by the harbor, the seal colony and the lighthouse. Tauranga Bay and the estuaries are worth exploring.

Westport has some lovely estuary walks where you can see herons, weka and stilts. There are many friendly cafes with good food. The prices everywhere are reasonable. You can do trips to see a lighthouse, seals, beaches. It is bike friendly. You can bike to all of these on a cycle path. Further afield Denniston and Coalbrookdale have 1 hour historic walks. Once Coal Town reopens in 2024 it will again have a museum.
A lovely place to stay with a very lovely host. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and in a nice quiet location just outside of Westport. The pub next door had excellent food just a 1 minute walk away, and the breakfast offered was all you can eat, with homemade bread, preserves, tea, coffee, milo, fruit, cereal - very tasty. Would be where I stayed again if I headed back to Westport.
Excellent shower pressure. Large bed. Rooms staggered to give them all privacy. Excellent location near the lighthouse and seal colony while still being near the shops and petrol in Westport. Friendly host. Coffee with breakfast is good. Quality furniture in room.
By far the best place to stay in Westport. Modern, clean and stylish with plenty of space. Has everything you need and more as the kitchen is well equipped. Location, off street parking and quietness make this an excellent choice, I never stay anywhere else now.
Great location for my stay in Westport. Down watching son play rugby - so being a stones throw away from the main Buller ground was great.
Nice comfortable bed and plenty of room in the lounge area.
Really impressed by the shower as well.
Very good location to town for meals out at Gibbies has a fantastic big breakfast , and Johnny's has a great sunday roast of the day .
Very relaxed township
Friendly community

Friendly, helpful staff. Central location, parking right in front of unit, very nice decor. Excellent value for money. Was perfect for our one night stopover in Westport. Recommend.
Even in a country where hoteliers take care to offer well-appointed and clean units, BCoP stands out. Really comfy, easy access to downtown Westport, nice outdoor space.
Great value, lovely facilities, everything we needed for our stay in Westport, so close to the main street also which was great! Definitely recommend Bazils to everyone!
What a great place to stay while at Westport. Everything you need all within walking distance to cafes and restaurants.
Modern apartment with that personal touch.
Beautiful location being that Westport is pretty isolated. Great views from the property, a little bonus was the Wekas that come right up to the door of the cabin.
