I like the historic architecture and the variety of privately owned eateries. My favorite spots are the Colonial Inn, where I stay when I am in town. They have great food, cozy rooms, and great hospitality. It is fairly easy to get to from the surrounding areas. I felt safe walking about town, even late at night. WE are usually there to attend concerts at the Tally Ho theater which is right around the corner from the inn. Once we are checked in we usually go everywhere on foot.

Nice town near a lot of historical sites.
Nice town near a lot of historical sites. We did Harpers Ferry on our way into the city. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, some with music. Definitely go to Gruto‘s ice cream store, one of the best soft serve we’ve found.

Leesburg is a wonderful town!
Leesburg is a wonderful town! It has all of the feel of history but all updated just the perfect touch. The designers really knew what they were doing here. One of the coolest things I saw was a brick front building all attached all the way down the street but this one is a coffee shop. One of the windows was opened up to serve street side coffee and baked goods. If you pass through the door the rest of the building is missing, it is a court yard! I could not stop staring at this coolest acrchtecual design! There is so much to see and to do! Just gazing up and down the street from an open air café would make the stay worth it. Stay right in town at the Colonial Inn, breakfast is great every morning and dinner in the evening at either of the local resteraunts all are good or treat yourself to some really unique resteraunts, my personal favorites, the Lightfoot resteraunt in a beautiful old bank or travel about 30 min away down back roads to Hunters Head Resteraunt in a 1700s built home. Make sure you get a reservation in advance of your stay! Leesburg is the most delightful town! You are sure to love it!

It was a nice short trip.
It was a nice short trip. Red Rock Overlook was very pretty if you like hiking. It was a bit muddy when we went but good hiking shoes solves that. Visited Oatlands Historic House and Gardens, it was very pretty not crowded at all and just really serene. Went to Mom's Apple Pie Bakery a little line and that's how you know it's good. Also, grabbed a sub from Puccio's New York Deli it reminded me of home, that sub was straight fire.

Didn’t get to experience the town very much.
Didn’t get to experience the town very much. Only there for one night. We did have an excellent dinner at Melt Gourmet Burgers! Check them out for a casual delicious burger experience if you are in Leesburg.

Great local restaurants and lots of wineries and antique shops. Was a close drive to battlefields for some history. The Firebirds Wood Fire Grill and Travinia restaurants in Village at Leesburg were awesome. I would drive there from Gettysburg for the food alone. The resort at Lansdowne is incredible and will be a new family tradition. Like the trip because it was close enough to be a short car ride about an hour and 20 from Gettysburg but far enough to be a relaxing vacation. Brunch at the The Riverside Hearth at Lansdowne Resort might be the best brunch Buffett I have ever had and while I didn’t get it, they do offer bottomless mimosas. You will definitely need transportation getting around Leesburg so a car I would say is a must. The resort was nice and there was plenty to do and eat on site without leaving however getting around the sites will need one.
The staff was friendly and helpful….I liked the location it was close walking distance to my daughter’s home….the King Street and side street areas were full of wonderful shops and restaurants to explore, a short walking distance….if I had a car there seemed to be good parking behind the hotel…..The Cafe has indoor and outdoor seating there was a wonderful variety on the menu for breakfast and what I ordered was good.
A very old fashioned - think Mayberry style venue (you know… Andy Griffith television series) and old town values, with very nice people….and delicious food - I ate there for three days - so delicious and large, large portions. Fantastic bar with a jazz band on Tuesday. anything you want to drink, they have it. More affordable than other hotels and only ten rooms - you get personalized and fast service.
The rooms are in a historic home and the decorations are very good. The rooms have everything that a modern hotel has. There is a city parking garage behind the hotel that is easily accessible. The breakfast hours are perfect, that i was able to get a hotel breakfast for the first time in my life. The staff were very helpful and surroundings are very nice. Thanks for everything
This was a perfect stop on our long biking trip down the W&OD trail. The location was very convenient. It's right next to the trail, so you can walk to Leesburg down the trail and get there in one mile to enjoy a night out. The rooms were spacious and clean and had everything we needed for a night.
Breakfast is awesome. Waffle are missing already :) Maids are fantastic, always checking the room and changing towels. bed are very comfortable, I would say that there are the best bed ever slept in a hotel. Light in the parking with security cameras is making the place more secure.
Quiet environment!
Good location!
Great breakfast!
Clean room!
Excellent and helpful Staff!
This is the hotel I strongly recommend.
btw, it's also a very nice place to stay for business traveling since there are cozy desktops and chairs in the room.
Spa is actually very good. Hotel layout itself, very nice. Lots of outdoor space, overlooking potomac. Golf course looks amazing. Plenty of nooks and fire places etc, for sitting and catching up with friends. Staff was great.
It was pleasantly quirky - not part of a chain. It was a complete one-off, with a funky bar-diner on the premises, and an excellent cafe-style breakfast. it was also right in the centre of Leesburg.
The location of the hotel was excellent for me. It is very close to local transportation and food courts. Staffs are very polite and helpful. Breakfast is enough to eat but there was no fruit.
We were there for a wedding and the hotel was central to all festivities. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. If we ever need to be in that area again we will definately stay again.
