Gordensville is a delightful small community.

Gordensville is a delightful small community. It offers a variety of restaurants, unique boutique and antique shops. For the winery visitor the area offers many vineyards from farm wineries to large commercial wineries. The area also has a variety of cider houses, breweries and distilleries. There are several historical museums in the area which are not expensive and interesting.

Small town America at it's best.

Small town America at it's best. Enjoyed the historical Hotel and it's timeline of facsnating history. Main street is short but full of wonderful shops and a bakery. Food for every palate including the wonderful French Rochambeau....à true dining experience. We always visit Gordonsville when we visit Shanadoah Crossing.

The property is beautiful and the views spectacular.

The property is beautiful and the views spectacular. We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights; we were visiting nearby relatives. Lots of activities on the premises. The hotel rooms were pretty small but suited our needs. The restaurant menu was VERY limited, but the food was good. This was not a busy time of year, so I cannot speak to what it is like in the busy season.

We loved the scenery around the resort.

We loved the scenery around the resort. We stayed in the hotel itself rather than a cabin, and definitely missed having a kitchen. There are a few places to eat nearby. The hotel was kind of noisy and we could hear guests all around us. It wasn't much of an issue but might be for light sleepers. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming.
