Kilgore was fine. We were just passing through. We lost a lot of money at a motel where 2 rooms were somehow booked and they would not let us cancel even through we arrived before the cut-off to cancel. We requested to cancel less than 45 minutes after booking the room before 6:00 PM. The manager never was there to assist us in 3 days trying to reach the manager. (America's Best Value Inn). We stayed at another lovely motel and it was great - Quality Inn. There were good places to eat in Kilgore. We ate at Chili's.

It was nice and peaceful, my parents live in kilgore so my family and I visit there alot. I know since the coronavirus things are limited around the world, but this is still a nice place to stay. The only thing I could say about this holiday inn, that is not bad, just a little disappointing, is the breakfast is always the same and when you pay for it, even with everything going on, it should at least change up a little bit every couple of days.

I lived in Kilgore from about 1945 until 1962, when I went in to the USAF. I live there until 1971, when I went to work with TDC. I graduated HS there and went to the College two different times. I was married there.
Kilgore is a very historical place, with the Oil Wells and the College. I would recommend it for someone with an interest in History to spend a few days there and not to hurry.

Kilgore is a wonderful place to explore. Beautiful country.
Kilgore is a wonderful place to explore. Beautiful country. Quiet. Many great places to eat. We enjoyed Mazzios Pizza! Easy to navigate Kilgore! I brought my grandgirls here to enjoy the pool and get away from the norm!
Everything was great! Room is clean and nicely decorated, bed is comfortable, property is very quiet even though it's directly across from an all-night restaurant, convenience store/gas station/truck stop, and right at an I-20 exit. Owners are extremely nice and were even smiling when I arrived after midnight! Highly recommend the Sunriser Inn, Kilgore, Texas!
My husband struggles sleeping away from home but he was comfortable enough to get the best "hotel sleep" he's had when we've traveled. My son was so excited to be able to go swimming. The room was HUGE. We'll be back for sure!
Everything was clean. Bed was comfortable, plenty of covers, (I get cold in most hotels and have to ask for more blankets). Plenty of breakfast items to choose from. Pleasant staff.
The rooms were clean and friendly staff. The service was excellent! I left one of my AirPods at the hotel. The front desk was awesome and mailed it to my home after finding it!
