First time at Hilton Head, the folks were friendly and the hotel location was in good location, short walk to beach and dining.
I found the area too crowded for my taste and more expensive than I liked.

I know it's a golfing and tennis destination but there was pretty much NOTHING else to do. The beach was not inviting with hard packed cold sand and bicyclists driving all over. There is no "main street" just lots of shopping "crescents" that looked all alike and everything was ridiculously overpriced. The scenery wasn't terribly interesting, unfortunately. There were several hard pitches to sit for time share presentations. We were certainly not interested as Hilton Head is not my thing at all. To add to our displeasure we booked a dolphin cruise and saw ONE dolphin.

Hilton Head island has everything you might need.
Hilton Head island has everything you might need. It can be as laid back or active as you want. It was green, beautiful, mild temperatures even in February. If you want to shop the opportunities are there. The choice in restaurants is endless. We love Hilton Head Island.

Nothing but 5 stars for me. I thought it was being well managed post-COVID and I felt safe. The resort is very securely located. Many layers of security before people get anywhere near the hotel. The food and amenities are fabulous abs the resort is convenient to all of the best shopping and outside dining. Lots of great things for nature lovers to explore from the comfort of a premium-quality mattress. I don’t know how anyone could be unhappy at the Sonesta Resort.
The size and quality of the room, (including beds) and location to the beach, which we were interested in checking out, was way better than average or what we expected. I suppose it being off-season might explain that, but, it was still a beautiful, natural experience, even though it was too cold to enjoy swimming at the beach. For a beach place, it was exceptional, if not the best beach hotel we ever stayed at, and we are getting on in years, and love beaches.
Extremely large room, this is a perfect hotel for a family spending a vacation. Full size fridge in the room, microwave, dishwasher, fully stocked kitchen. Full bathroom and then another walk-in closet typ room with sink so easy to get ready in the morning, plenty of storage for clothing and suitcases. Easy access to the main road, plenty of restaurants close by. Nice pool area.
This hotel isn't fancy looking by any means, but the staff was great, the room was SUPER clean, and the beds and pillows were ultra-comfy. Our room had two queen beds, a large trash can (I loved this because most hotels have tiny ones), a dehumidifier (crucial for humid Hilton Head Island), and a refrigerator that was bigger than a mini but not full size.
On the beach location except all tiki huts and snack bars outside were closed to regular guests...if you weren't part of the private party...you'd likely thist to death as you couldnt even get a water but the hotel forbids you fron bringing your own drinks and snacks.
Beautiful property on the beach. Great experience. Some things out dated but some things up dated. It was very easily assessable. Lots to do and price was cheaper than hotels. We enjoyed ourselves.
Very well located, close to Coligny but at the same time very isolated and peaceful. One of the best breakfasts I had in any US hotel. Besides the issue with transportation, the staff was A+
The Hotel was beautiful, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating! I would recommend The Westin in Hilton Head to anyone as our stay was Wonderful!
