the location was convenient with ample parking, including space for a moving truck. We enjoyed the Social Club with the bluegrass band. The servers were excellent, including Jason who managed the breakfast area.
The queen bed in my room needed to be turned as it sloped downward on one side. For the price, everything was adequate and served our purposes.
The check in system was disorganized as we tried to do a self-check in while receptionists were in front of us doing other things and not very helpful.
We could tell the hotel is in the midst of renovation and upgrades which will make it more appealing.

I love Santa Fe. A lot to see on the Plaza.
I love Santa Fe. A lot to see on the Plaza. A lot of culture and things to see in the region. Be mindful that it is at a higher elevation. It is cool in the summer and a lot colder than you would think at that latitude in the winter time. Come prepared.

Santa Fe is a destination for adult peace and happiness.
Santa Fe is a destination for adult peace and happiness. The vibe of friendly people, unique shopping and ancient spirituality makes this a great place to visit off season. Taking time to talk to people and experience their art and culture makes Santa Fe a place I return to over and over again every year

I think Santa Fe one of the most beautiful little cities in the world. It has everything! Friendly souls, good shopping, history, beautiful climate, walkability, variety of places to eat, beautiful countryside and just an intelligence which I find difficult to define; just people in touch with their environment. I would go back in a FLASH!
I have stayed here several times so I know what I am getting into. I love the atmosphere of this hotel, it is so cute and creative. You really feel a Santa Fe while there. The courtyards are amazing and the rooms are good for being a 2 star hotel although they do smell a little funny at times but that is the compromise I make for a great atmosphere and staff in my stay. Also, this hotel tends to be cheaper than the others in town and it still close enough to make a quick drive to the places of interest so that's good as well.
Location, location, location! Hotel Chimayo de Santa Fe was conveniently located within walking distance to just about every place we had hoped to visit on the Plaza. We loved our suite (with the exception of the noise from the immediately adjacent street and the early-morning garbage truck visit) and the bed was amazing. Stop in to the on-site Low 'n Slow Bar & Lounge for a unique experience and excellent drinks! Also loved the underground parking! Isis (front desk) and Lupe (maintenance) were friendly and helpful.
A classic Santa Fe hotel that’s immaculately maintained. From the moment the friendly bellhop greets you at your car to help with your luggage, and the desk clerk greets you with a tray of treats and sherry, you know you’re going to enjoy your stay at Inn of the Governors. The location is perfect - a beautiful creekside walkway is right across the street, and the Plaza is a few short blocks away. Canyon Road is just blocks away also, as well as the State Capitol’s beautiful sculpture-filled grounds.
Wonderfully friendly staff. Owner Pete made our stay very personable, provided lots of good suggestions, gave us a really nice history of the hotel and his personal family background and how this tied in with the history of Santa Fe. Each room appears unique: our room had lovely tiles in the bathroom, decorations and charm. The location is very convenient to the plaza in Santa Fe, and we enjoyed the daily walk. We will definitely return to the Guadalupe Inn in the future.
The location of the hotel was good. It was within a 10-15 minute walk of the square in Santa Fe. The room was clean; bed comfortable and lots of hot water. We slept well while we were there. We were there with a large group of hikers and the hotel was large and could accommodation all of us. There was a good buffet breakfast each morning and that was helpful before hikes. They also provided a shuttle into downtown, which many found handy.
Room was very large and it was great having a table and chairs to have breakfast in our room or for other meals/snacks. Bed was comfortable. Room and common areas were clean. A/C worked great. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Location is good for the hotels/motels on Cerillos and provides good value as opposed to staying closer to Santa Fe.
Lovely hotel in an excellent location right in the center of Santa Fe. Easy walking distance to the Plaza in Old Town. Good
with its wonderful choice of restaurants and bars. Oou room had an outside seating area as well, which was lovely in the late afternoon sun. There is a bar in the hotel with friendly staff and a great atmosphere.
The best aspect of Old Santa Fe hotel is their location. Due to remodeling of reception area our tiny window overlooked a big dumpster and there was no delicious breakfast they advertise on their website. The breakfast offerings were worse than a holiday in express! Room was clean, but tiny, worn and dark.
We love staying St. Francis on our trips through Santa Fe. The hotel has an old world charm throughout the building. The rooms, although small, are charming and clean with a comfy bed and great linens. Maybe a few more hooks in the bathrooms would be helpfu. Of course staying near the Plaza is a plus.
La Fonda is our favorite place to stay when visiting Santa Fe. The location is spectacular for doing ALL things Santa Fe. The Plaza restaurant in the hotel is great and we love to end the evening at the lounge listening to live music and dancing.
Breakfast burritos were nice for on the go.
Clean comfy well furnished room, friendly staff.
Shuttle service into Santa Fe Plaza was a nice bonus (allowed us to avoid the hassle of finding parking). Driver Leroy was the best.
Casa Culinaria is a nice cross between a boutique hotel and a VRBO. Very quiet, clean and well located for short walks to the Plaza, Canyon Rd. art galleries or the Railyard. The grounds were wonderful.
Old Santa Fe Inn is a top shelf hotel, easy walking to the Plaza and the heart of tourist Santa Fe. If you luck up with a room with a little gas Kiva fireplace, it is about as good as it gets.
Everything. The best nights sleep ever. The rooms are very spacious and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
Breakfast was delicious and ambiance in restaurant was exceptional. Room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is conveniently located near plaza.
